Johnny Depp Enjoys Hollywood Vampires Tour Despite Abuse Allegations: Did His Late Mom Contribute To The Marital Problems?

Johnny Depp has broken his silence after Amber Heard announced she is divorcing the Pirates of the Caribbean star, according to E! Online. The 52-year-old actor’s rep released a statement on Thursday, in which he expressed his hopes that this “short marriage” will be resolved as soon as possible.

However, in the meantime, the rep said Johnny Depp will not respond to any of the “salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life,” considering the fact that his marriage with Heard was short as well as the fact that the actor has just lost his mother.

Heard filed papers for divorce from Johnny Depp late last month, just three days after the Black Mass actor’s mother, Betty Sue Palmer, died from a long illness. The Drive Angry actress explained her decision by saying that there were “irreconcilable differences” between the two. Heard and Depp were married for a little more than a year.

People magazine reported that despite the emotional turmoil Johnny Depp would surely have been going through since the divorce papers were filed, he managed to finish his final concert for his band, the Hollywood Vampires, in Bucharest, Romania, on a huge high.

People magazine quoted a source who said that Johnny Depp seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself at the final performance.

“Johnny was so in his element. His backing vocals were good. And he was interacting with the audience a lot. He seemed to be having a great time.”

In one of her recent interviews with Marie Claire magazine, Heard said she wanted to keep her marriage to Johnny Depp as out of the public eye as possible, admitting it was “strange” and “hard” for her to hear all those “horrible misrepresentations” of the duo’s lives.

In the same interview, Heard also said it was an “honor and the greatest, most surprising gift I have ever received in my life,” when talking about becoming a stepmother to Johnny Depp’s two kids, Lily-Rose, 16, and Jack, 13.

“I feel new flavors that I didn’t know existed. New colors that I didn’t know existed have been added to my life. I’m so happy.”

According to divorce documented filed by Heard, the 30-year-old actress is asking for spousal support from Johnny Depp, but the Edward Scissorhands actor disputed Heard’s request in court.

Johnny Depp and Heard first met on the set of 2011’s The Rum Diary.

The two were wed during a closed ceremony at their L.A. home. And then Depp and Heard celebrated with their family and close friends in the Bahamas.

Amber Heard’s supporters don’t agree with claims that Johnny Depp’s family allegedly hated the actress, according to the Daily Mail. It was previously reported that Depp’s late mother allegedly blamed Amber Heard for using her son to make advances in her career. In fact, she even believed the actress treated Depp like “crap.”

However, Heard’s supporters later hit back and denied the claims, saying that the Rum Diary actress even visited Johnny Depp’s mother in the hospital and was in good relations with the actor’s son, Jack. However, there is no information as to whether Heard got along with Depp’s model daughter Lily-Rose or not.

In fact, according to sources cited by People magazine, Heard provided a great deal of support and care throughout Johnny Depp’s mother’s illness. A friend close to Depp’s family said Heard “regularly” visited Betty Sue in the hospital.

“She had been gravely ill for the last few years but they made sure she was well taken care of and had the best treatment. Johnny was very close to his mom.”

Although it’s unknown what was the exact illness Johnny Depp’s mother was battling with, she died at the age of 81 last Friday. Sources close to Heard, meanwhile, don’t believe Depp’s family hated the actress, saying that she has a number of photos where she cuddles up to Depp’s son, Jack.

In fact, Heard’s sources claim that the actress was “actively involved” in caring for Johnny Depp’s mother throughout her illness, visiting her in the hospital when the Pirates of the Caribbean star was unable to.
