Harry Styles, Niall Horan Weigh in On Liam Payne And Cheryl

Louis Tomlinson may be Liam Payne’s usual writing partner, but Harry Styles and Liam Payne are also super-good friends, and Styles even expressed his appreciation for Liam in recent weeks, saying Payne is the “least dramatic” person he knows, reports Hollywood Life.

Apparently, a source told the publication that Harry is worried Liam will end up getting hurt by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Liam’s current girlfriend, who has been married twice:

“Harry and Liam are the best of friends, so naturally he only wants the best for his buddy. However, Harry does have his concerns about his new relationship with Cheryl. He doesn’t want to see Liam get burned.”

Harry called Liam the most level-headed guy in One Direction and praised his buddy as “serene and peaceful,” according to the source.

“Cheryl doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to relationships. She’s been married twice, and in both marriages there was a lot of drama. Liam is the least dramatic person Harry knows. Out of all the guys in 1D, Liam is the most level-headed. He’s a peaceful person and pretty serene most of the time,”

Harry had a lot to say about Liam and Cheryl, if the mag is to be believed. Styles definitely seems to have taken quite an anti-Cheryl stance!

Will there be some tense embraces and tight smiles the next time Harry Styles and former X Factor judge Cheryl cross paths?

“When Cheryl met her second husband Jean-Bernard, the one she’s divorcing right now, they got married only three months after dating. Harry just wants Liam to be smart about this new relationship and take things slow. He doesn’t want to see his friend making any impulsive decisions that might lead to a heartbreak down the way.”

Niall Horan has been more positive about the Cheryl/Liam union, promising that “there’s a story” behind their surprise romance but saying that he will not be the one to leak it to the press, according to the Mirror.

Niall told Hello! that if Liam and Cheryl are happy, that’s enough for him.

“There’s a little bit of a story behind it but I won’t be telling you that… She’s a great girl, really fun. He’s a top man and one of my best friends… She seems happy, he’s happy, so I’m happy for them.”

It’s no surprise that Harry wants the best for Liam and appreciates his serene nature. Liam was the rock of One Direction in the early days of the band. Sometimes Liam was referred to as “Daddy Direction” because of his mature outlook, even though Liam is not actually the oldest member – Louis Tomlinson is. Payne was a steady hand at the helm of the band, penning songs and remaining in a stable relationship with Sophia Smith for a long time while young Harry was in and out of the headlines for dating everyone from Taylor Swift to Caggie Dunlop to Caroline Flack.

It’s no wonder Harry is eager to see serene Liam free of the grip of any volatile cougars.

Harry Styles and Liam Payne share a few things in common, such as their adventurous and experimental approach to songwriting. Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic came forward saying that when he writes with Styles he has “no idea” what the songs they are penning are actually for.

“We’ve done a couple of things…I have no idea what they’re for. I don’t know if he’s doing an album, I truthfully don’t… He’s just a chill guy.”

The OneRepublic frontman praised Harry for his songwriting ability, calling Styles a “phenomenally talented writer” and saying he has “great taste in a number of areas.” Tedder declared that he had never before met anyone with Harry Styles’ level of fame who is “that unaffected by it.”

Liam Payne has also been experimenting on the songwriting front. When rumors spread around that Liam has a new single ready, Payne took to Twitter to say that making music is just something he gets up to “on a weekend.”

Liam reflected with amusement that he needs to “guard [his] projects better.”

Liam also retweeted a comment by a fan named little jess who said that Cheryl is the kindest person around and people need to stop attacking and questioning her. Could Liam have seen the Hollywood Life and Mirror reports that claimed that both Harry and Cheryl’s mom have reservations about Liam and Cheryl’s relationship?

The Mirror report went into some details about Cheryl’s mom’s stance, saying that she has urged Cheryl to take things slowly.

“[Cheryl’s] mum Joan has sat her down and told her to take things slow, and that if something is right, it will wait.”

A source also revealed that Liam is trying to prove to Cheryl that he is “worthy of being her boyfriend,” and that she needn’t be concerned that he is so much younger.

“He’s always trying to please Cheryl and trying to prove to her that he’s worthy of being her boyfriend, in the sense that he’s so young and was always afraid that she might not take him seriously…He’s always showering her with gifts, acting like a loved-up puppy dog and planning their future together.”

The Mirror source appeared to agree with Harry Styles, saying that Cheryl “can blow hot and cold… and that could be confusing for Liam.”

“She can blow hot and cold on the subject of their future together and that could be confusing to Liam.”
