Kathryn Edwards Fired From The ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ — Who Else Is On The Chopping Block?
Kathryn Edwards’ time on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was short lived.
After one season on the hit reality show, producers have decided not to invite Edwards back for the new season.
According to Us Magazine, Edwards joins a list of other woman who only lasted a single season on the series. This includes the likes of Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia, both of whom were introduced in Season 4.
Edwards stirred up some controversy after getting into it with Erika Girardi. Later in the season, Edwards fought with Faye Resnick over her claims in the book, Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted.
Edwards was connected to the O.J. Simpson case through her ex-husband, Marcus Allen.
Of course, many expected Edwards to bring a little more to the table than her connections to famous people. According to Perez Hilton, Edwards’ rude attitude and mediocre stories failed to attract interest.
Before the Season 6 finale aired, Edwards expressed her thanks for all the support she received from fans in a blog post on Bravo.
“I’ve had fun and have made some valued friendships,” Edwards stated. “I’ve enjoyed meeting a lot of people who have approached me while I’m out and about, and I’ve taken so much from the people who have shared their stories that parallel my own.”
Edwards was introduced last season along with newbie Girardi. At the same time, both Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards took a back seat and were demoted to cameo status only.
Although Edwards’ exit seems imminent, Bravo has yet to officially announce her departure.Meanwhile, it appears as though Bravo is wanting to really shake things up for Season 7 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Along with Kathryn Edwards’ exit, which other cast members are on their way out?
For starters, Romper is reporting that a few of the cast members from Season 6 are definitely going to be back. This includes Lisa Vanderpump, who is a fan favorite and brings plenty of drama of her own.
Kyle Richards is also likely to return, as is Lisa Rinna. Both women made major contributions last season and have become mainstays on the show.
Despite last season being her first, Girardi’s glamorous life seems to be enough to land her a spot next season. After all, there’s no telling what Girardi will offer next time around.
Yolanda Hadid, however, might be the next woman to get the boot. Not only is she struggling with a lot of things in her personal life, but fans have grown tired of watching her go through the same health issues all season. With a possible casting shakeup in the works, who might be added as replacements next season?
According to Buddy TV, Sydney Holland is in the running as a new Housewife. Holland was formerly involved with Viacom’s Sumner Redstone and would be the first lady connected to a billionaire.
Holland dated Redstone for over 5 years before her affair reportedly ended their relationship. Considering her juicy past, Holland’s inclusion on the show would definitely spice things up.
Of course, there is always the possibility that a former Housewife could be re-introduced into the mix. The most likely candidate in that scenario would be Glanville, though Kim Richards is another solid option.
Until more information is released, Andy Cohen recently shared his thoughts on which cast members might get fired. When asked if Hadid, Rinna, Girardi, or Eileen Davidson could exit the show next season, Cohen replied with a firm, “No way!”The next season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to premiere later this year.
