Sofia Vergara Finally Confirms Engagement: Sorry, Boys

Sofia Vergara is officially off the market (well, soon to be). After months of speculation, reports, and rumors, the Modern Family siren has confirmed her engagement to businessman Nick Loeb.

Vergara recently nabbed the top spot on AskMen’s “Most Desirable Women of 2012” and followed up her official endorsement as the sexiest woman alive with the announcement that she’s officially off the market. The 40-year-old Colombian beauty has been spotted wearing an engagement ring since early this summer but hasn’t confirmed publicly whether or not she has pledged to tie the knot with on-again, off-again boyfriend Nick Loeb.

Confirming her engagement to Celebuzz, Vergara said that she’s a little behind on wedding plans so far:

“I haven’t started planning anything because everything has been very recent,” she said. “I just planned a very big birthday — my 40th birthday in Mexico. More than 100 people came and celebrated with me and my family, closest friends and co-workers from Modern Family,” continuing, “I am kind of, you know, working a lot — I just started the Modern Family season — so I don’t know yet [when I will get married]. No plans.”

Vergara also dropped another big hint as to her future plans with Loeb, namely that she’s thinking about trying for a baby with him:

“It’s something that maybe … one day I’ll do again. I wouldn’t mind . . .I mean, I think I can still do it. But you know, when you want to do something like that, you want to do it right, at the right moment, so I am taking it easy, so maybe when I have a little less work.”

Vergara is already mom to Manolo, her 20-year-old son with first husband Joe Gonzalez, reports Us Weekly.
