Watch The Emotional Moment Tamar Braxton Found Out She Was Fired From ‘The Real’ [Video]
Tamar Braxton broke down in tears after discovering that she had been fired from The Real last month, and the reality cameras were there to film it all.
Braxton’s incredibly emotional reaction to the shocking news was captured for the June 2 episode of Braxton Family Values, titled “S*** Gets Real,” where Tamar broke down in tears as she told sister Toni Braxton about the announcement that she was not be asked back for the third season of the daytime talk show.
In the emotional scene, which Tamar confessed during an appearance on The Steve Harvey Morning Show on June 1 was filmed just two hours after she was told of the news by husband Vincent Herbert, Braxton tells sister Toni on the WE tv reality series that she “doesn’t know what [she] did” to result in her being fired from the Fox series.

“Everything just feels like a loss for me,” Tamar admitted as she collapsed in tears in the emotional episode. “This whole year sucked a**… I just feel the rug has been pulled from under me for everything I love and everything that I do.”
Braxton’s emotional reaction came just one day after Tamar broke her silence regarding her departure from the The Real during an interview with Steve Harvey on The Steve Harvey Morning Show, where Braxton admitted that the decision not to renew her contract for another season left her “heartbroken.”
Tamar spoke out about the emotional scene in the radio interview, revealing that her reaction was completely genuine and was her “open and honest” feelings following the shocking news that Tamar told Steve she was “blindsided” by.
“The cameras just so happened to be there and you get a really clear, candid picture of my sisters being there for me and having to be open and honest about my feelings,” Tamar said of the Braxton Family Values scene.
“I don’t really like when people see me break down, and I did,” Braxton said. “I had nothing really to hold on to besides my family, my sisters, who really came through for me.”
“I got my heart broke. It just wasn’t by a man,” Braxton continued to Harvey in the interview earlier this week of The Real’s decision not to ask her back.
Tamar also confessed in the interview that she still hasn’t been given a reason for her departure, telling Steve that not being given a reason as to why she was let go is “bothering her to this day” despite the news breaking weeks ago.
Also in the June 1 radio interview, Steve Harvey announced the big news that he had opted to sign Braxton to his production company following her departure from The Real, telling listeners that he’ll be working with Tamar to produce her own TV series.
“We saw the opportunity of what people may recognize as the end, but it’s not,” Harvey said on his radio show on June 1, according to Page Six, officially announcing his big new project with Braxton.
“It’s such a beginning. She has such a bright future. She is such a star. She has so much to offer,” Steve continued of Tamar, describing the singer as having “a plethora of talent.”
“We think she would make a great game show host, we think she would make a great talk show host, we think she’s in line to produce a number of series,” Steve continued on June 1. “We are proud to announce today that Tamar Braxton is already on her feet.”
