Why Kim Kardashian’s New Waist Size Is Raising Eyebrows
Kim Kardashian is already receiving backlash for sharing her weight loss journey. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed her new waist size on Snapchat, which has been raising some eyebrows.
Kim Kardashian has been working hard to get the baby weight after Saint West’s birth in December. The starlet took to Snapchat on Thursday, June 2 to share the exciting news with her followers. Kardashian showed a photo of her insanely small waist.
In the photo, the 35-year-old is seen wearing just an orange sweatshirt and nude underwear as someone measures her waist. She captioned the photo “26w!!!” along with an emoji of an hourglass and a balloon, referring to her magical shrinking waist.
Then she followed up with another Snapchat photo that featured her tight and taut stomach. Her hairstylist, Jen Atkin, shared the sexy photo on her Instagram page, as well.
In the photo, Kim is seen holding up her sweatshirt to show off her slimmer stomach. Jen is also featured in Kim’s mirror selfie, looking in awe at her incredible results. Kim won’t just be using social media to show off her new body, though.
Along with the photos of her weight loss journey, the proud mom-of-two took to Instagram to share another NSFW photo that showed off her butt crack. She revealed to fans that she’s taking part in another “secret” and “major” photo shoot.
Just a few days, the reality star revealed that she’s close to her 2010 weight goal.
In a Snapchat photo of her standing on a scale, Kardashian wrote, “12 lbs. to go to reach 2010 Kim!”
She’s been sharing photos of her weight loss every week in May. Kim previously revealed that she gained as much as 60 pounds during her second pregnancy and was determined to get back to her original post-baby weight goal of 120 pounds.
Fans have been wondering how Kim Kardashian achieved her new figure. She has been open about her Atkins low-carb diet along with her intense workout routine with her personal trainer, which includes outdoor activities, hikes, and long walks with her husband, Kanye West.
Her nutritionist, Colette Heimowitz, previously spoke to Hollywood Take on how the television personality shed the weight.
“Kim started eating the low carb way after she gave birth to her first and second child. This way of eating helped her lose 60 pounds from her first pregnancy and is currently helping her reach her weight loss goals from her second pregnancy.”
Kim Kardashian’s weight loss journey isn’t just about her diet, although it’s a big part of it. As previously mentioned, she’s also been hitting the gym with a variety of trainers, including Harley Pasternak.
“Kim works with a few different trainers and does different methods. I have been one of those. The key to her approach is variety. She likes to try different workouts so she doesn’t get bored. [That way] she keeps it fresh.”
Although fans have accused Kardashian of setting unrealistic body image ideals and weight loss standards, she’s reportedly losing two pounds per week, which experts claim is very healthy. But some believe Kardashian achieved her new bod through other means like liposuction and plastic surgery. While it’s not advised to Snapchat or Instagram your weight loss journey, it has helped Kardashian stay motivated and reach her goals.
She’s also not starving herself. She consumes an average of 1,500 to 1,800 calories per day, which includes four to six ounces of protein, four ounces of cheese, eight to 10 servings of veggies, and two tablespoons of fat per day, Heimowitz previously told Redbook. At least Kim isn’t claiming that she achieved that waist size with a waist trainer. The reality star has shared several photos of her wearing the Waist Gang Society’s waist-training corsets in the past. Then, back in March, the company faced a lawsuit from a group of women who claim that they did not lose weight from the trainers.
The company says that the product “burns fatty tissue by making you sweat, targets the back, torso, waist and abdomen areas.”
The Waist Gang Society’s website also includes photos of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe wearing the corset. The sisters, who were not sued by the women, have taken to social media to share countless selfies of them in the waist trainers.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit says that the advertising is misleading, quoting a doctor who has said, “Corsets do not cause you to permanently lose fat in the midsection: they cause a re-distribution of the fat and organs in the trunk.”
