Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart ‘Twilight’ Romance Secrets Revealed By Costar Ashley Greene
Even though it has been almost a decade since the Twilight franchise first took off, the fan base surrounding the films hasn’t dwindled. So it’s no surprise that fans were eager to hear from Ashley Greene about the romantic relationship between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
According to Gossip Cop, Greene, who played vampire Alice Cullen in the films, discussed her experience of being in the film, and of course, touched on the relationship between Pattinson and Stewart.
During the interview with E! News, Greene said that even though there was a clear spark between Pattinson and Stewart, they managed to keep things strictly professional while working on the set.
Of course, Pattinson and Stewart had one of the most memorable on-screen romances in recent history while also having a high profile relationship off screen. But Greene said that before Pattinson and Stewart announced to the public that they were a thing, the entire Twilight cast was already well aware that they were a couple.
After that incident, Pattinson and Stewart broke things off, although they briefly got back together before splitting for good a few months later.
And even though they haven’t been a couple for some time now, the former couple seemed happy when they recently ran into each other at the Met Gala.
“[Kristen] was just overjoyed to see Rob. They both were happy to see each other. It had been such a long time. Kristen and Rob gave each other a big hug,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Rob and Kristen were genuinely happy to see each other.”
Though their relationship didn’t last long, they were often seen displaying affection. After dating Soko, Stewart got back together with former girlfriend and personal assistant Alicia Cargile. They even attended a movie premiere together at the Cannes Film Festival last month.
Besides seeing each other at the Met Gala, rumors are flying about the past couple having a coffee date in L.A. which sparked more rumors about the Twilight stars possibly reuniting.
Australian Network News says that other rumors claim Kristen was recently spotted wearing one of Pattinson’s shirts. Neither Stewart’s or Pattinson’s representatives have commented on the reunion rumors.
But rumors of her relationship with Pattinson aren’t the only thing putting Kristen in the news.
The actress also has a new movie in the works, the sci-fi thriller Equals, costarring Nicholas Hoult. The plot centers around the idea that human emotions have been erased from society.
There is reportedly an on-screen romance between her character, Nia, and Hoult’s character, Silas. The film supposedly shares an intimate scene between the two actors which is speculated to be the best kiss of the year, and a top contender for the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss.
“I definitely had a crush on Jackson [Rathbone] when we first started working together,” Greene stated, adding that “He’s just such a little Southern gentleman and he’s so artistically brilliant. So yeah, mad crush on him.”
She also revealed that she first tried out for the role of Bella, but after a gauntlet of auditions was finally chosen to portray Alice. Looking back, Greene said that she was so grateful for her role as Alice.
“When I finally got the call, I was beyond happy. I cried.”
