NXT TakeOver: The End is less than a week away and the card looks to be a great follow-up to NXT TakeOver: Dallas , arguably the greatest event in NXT’s young history. In the go-home episode of WWE NXT , it was revealed that Andrade “Cien” Almas (formerly La Sombra of CMLL in Mexico) will debut at The End , an upset was scored in the NXT tag team division and the NXT Women’s Champion was left laying flat as the show ended.

NOTE: The following contains the full results and spoilers for the episode of WWE NXT that first aired on the WWE Network on June 2.

Corey Graves also sat down with NXT Champion Samoa Joe and No. 1 contender Finn Balor to talk about their upcoming title match at NXT TakeOver: The End . Buddy Murphy explores singles competition now that Alexa Bliss and Wesley Blake have deserted him, and Elias Samson steps into the ring with Austin Aries.

  • The Revival opened this week’s WWE NXT with an in-ring promo. As they talked about winning their NXT Tag Team Championship Match on Sunday against current title holders American Alpha, the former champs were interrupted. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa said they thought that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson weren’t able to beat the champions. Gargano and Ciampa said they could take The Revival. The No. 1 contenders tried to ignore the relative newcomers, but things eventually got physical and the main event was set.
  • Nakamura cut a backstage promo saying that Austin Aries would “bow to the King of Strong Style” at NXT TakeOver: The End .
  • Tye Dillinger defeated Buddy Murphy . Alexa Bliss and Wesley Blake were nowhere to be seen.
  • A pre-recorded segment aired in which Corey Graves talked with both Finn Balor and Samoa Joe in a sit-down interview. While things didn’t quite get physical, they certainly weren’t friendly.
  • Austin Aries defeated Elias Samson . Post-match, Aries had to cut a promo over the NXT Universe who were solidly chanting for Shinsuke Nakamura.
  • Another vignette aired for Andrade “Cien” Almas. While it still didn’t show the face of the former La Sombra from CMLL (see a “top moves” compilation video below), it did reveal that he will debut at NXT TakeOver: The End . We now know that he will face Tye Dillinger.
  • Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa defeated The Revival . After taking a superplex, Gargano managed to get a quick pin on Scott Dawson. Post-match, The Revival were beating on their opponents until American Alpha made the save.
  • They made sure to remind everyone that Babymetal’s “Karate” and A Day To Remember’s “Paranoia” are the official theme songs of NXT TakeOver: The End.
  • The contract signing between Nia Jax and NXT Women’s Champion Asuka ended violently, with the challenger getting the better of the champion. Asuka was left on the ground as the show ended.
