‘Vanderpump Rules’ James Kennedy Booted Off Flight For Drunken Fight With Lala
It seems that James Kennedy and Lala Kent of Vanderpump Rules don’t just save their drunken arguments for the show; they first try them out on the general public on airplanes. It seems that Kennedy’s promise to Lisa Vanderpump that he had stopped drinking didn’t stick, and there was still enough alcohol in his system that Kennedy was drunk on the way home after a weekend in Las Vegas.
According to The Inquisitr, Kennedy’s employer, Lisa Vanderpump has tried to stay out of these incidents, other than perhaps to comment on them in the media, as she did on Kim Richards’ drunken arrests last year, but Vanderpump will have to decide at some point if the amusement that comes with irresponsible employees is the type of face she wants to put on her restaurants. Vanderpump largely felt bad about Kim Richards, as she is still close with Kim’s sister Kyle. Last year, she tweeted that her thoughts were with the Richards family. But James Kennedy is her responsibility – at least professionally – and he has gotten several warnings about being embarrassing and violent.

Reality Tea says that James Kennedy was DJing in Las Vegas poolside at Hard Rock Hotel’s Rehab, but on his way onboard the flight home, he got into one of the screaming fights with hostess Lala Kent that fans have seen on Vanderpump Rules. Kennedy was then thrown off the flight for being “too drunk to fly.” Witnesses were caught off guard by the sheer volume of the fight between Kennedy and Lala Kent.
“He and LaLa were screaming at each other in the terminal. It looked like a classic drunken fight between friends. I’m pretty sure it was LaLa telling James to get it together before getting on the plane.”

Also with Kennedy and Lala was James Kennedy’s girl du jour, Raquel Leviss, who stayed behind when Kennedy was ejected for being too drunk, even for the short flight from Vegas to Los Angeles. Lala reportedly screamed “I hate you” before taking her seat on the plane, just before Kennedy was asked to return to the terminal. Lala flew home, but Kennedy wasn’t allowed to fly at that time.
After returning home, James Kennedy tweeted that he would be back DJing at SUR the next day, while sources on the plane thought he might finally be in real rehab.
The Daily Mail says that this isn’t the first time James Kennedy of Vanderpump Rules has demonstrated scary behavior that has made other people uncomfortable. Whether it is substance abuse, immaturity, mental health problems, or a combination of the three, James Kennedy goes from zero to sixty very quickly, often threatening people who work with him.
On the reunion show for Vanderpump Rules, Andy Cohen was reportedly shocked at James Kennedy’s tirade, as he was behaving like a crazy person. Kennedy called the rest of the cast “a******s” and threatened to punch Jax Taylor in the throat. This reaction seemed out of proportion considering that Scheana Shay had simply called Kennedy, a busboy at Sur, a joke. Kennedy dismissed the rest of the cast, bragging that he had more talent than all of them.
“I’ve got 10 times more talent in the bag than this guy could ever dream of.”
Then James Kennedy confronted host Andy Cohen and explained that he was angry that nobody had mentioned Kennedy’s new album on the show, as he thought he would get a chance to promote his latest work. Andy wondered if Kennedy was serious.
“Are you kidding me?”
Kennedy also reignited his feud with former flames Kristen and Lala, who traded barbs with him throughout the show. At 24, Kennedy is the youngest male on the show, and though he just works as a busboy, he seems to think he deserves the same treatment as those who have worked for Lisa Vanderpump for years.
Do you think Lisa Vanderpump keeps James Kennedy around because his unpredictable behavior makes for good television?
