Jennifer Lawrence And Aziz Ansari Spotted Sightseeing In Italy — Just Friends Or Something More?

The Hunger Games star was spotted hanging out with Aziz Ansari in Italy over the weekend, sparking rumors of a potential romance.

According to People, Lawrence and Ansari were photographed sightseeing during their Italian tour together. Lawrence is in the country to promote her latest film, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Lawrence wore a hat and a colorful sun dress for the outing, while Ansari sported a maroon t-shirt and jeans.

Lawrence and Ansari were also seen at Laura Simpson’s wedding together. Both actors were on the guest list for the ceremony, which was held at the Borgo Stomennano Hotel in Italy.

According to Vanity Fair, Simpson and Lawrence are longtime friends. As fans might recall, Simpson attended the 2014 Oscars with Lawrence and subsequently wrote a blog about her experience.

For the wedding, Lawrence donned a slip dress and reportedly spent a lot of time with Kevin “Boosh” Burtch, a bartender from Los Angeles. It isn’t known if Lawrence and Burtch hit it off, though it doesn’t appear as though the two are dating.

For his part, Ansari attended the wedding with his brother, Aniz, at his side.

Of course, it isn’t clear if Ansari and Lawrence are just really good friends or if there is something else going on behind-the-scenes.

Ansari and Lawrence’s friendship, however, has been well documented. Back in February, Cosmopolitan released several photos of the pair hanging out together on Valentine’s Day.

The two spent the evening at The Commodore and ordered just about everything on the menu. Ansari and Lawrence ate nachos, mac ‘n’ cheese, fried chicken, and drank a bottle of wine together.

Naturally, their close friendship has sparked rumors that Lawrence and Ansari are actually dating each other. According to Independent, the two are definitely more than just friends.

Christ Pratt first introduced Lawrence to Ansari last year. Their introduction came on the heels of Lawrence’s breakup with Chris Martin.

According to several eyewitnesses, Jennifer Lawrence’s Valentine’s Day celebration with the Master of None star included a bit of romance.

“They were showing each other stuff on their iPhones while chatting and laughing,” a source explained. “There’s a real attraction between Jen and Aziz. There’s no way she’d have flown across the country to spend Valentine’s with a guy she doesn’t have feelings for. He makes her laugh, and she adores him.”

Apart from their special February outing, Lawrence and Ansari were also spotted having dinner together a second time in New York this year.

Based on their activity together, it is clear that the former Parks and Recreation star and Lawrence are really good friends. Whether or not they have crossed into the romance zone remains a mystery.

“They’re dating and right now and they’re just seeing how it goes… Jen and Aziz have been friends for awhile, but recently they’ve moved on it. They’re both attracted to one another. She adores his goofy side and loves how cool he is. Aziz likes her a lot, but he won’t rush into anything — Jen’s too important to him.”

Ansari was most recently linked with Courtney McBroom. Ansari and McBroom dated for two years before parting ways this past fall.

Neither Ansari nor Lawrence have officially commented on the status of their relationship. Although they clearly enjoy each other’s company, it is still unknown if they are secretly dating.

Based on the most recent sighting in Italy, there is a good chance that Ansari and Lawrence’s friendship has grown into a romance.

Until more information is released, fans can watch Lawrence in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is currently out in theaters.
