Matthew McConaughey Super Skinny For New Film
Matthew McConaughey recently played a hunky stripper in the film Magic Mike, but fans of that film may be hard pressed to recognize the now super skinny star on the set of his new film, The Wolf of Wall Street.

The Daily Mail reports that McConaughey has lost 30 pounds on a strict diet, but the weight loss isn’t for his current film, but rather for his next one. McConaughey is slated to play a man suffering from AIDS in the film The Dallas Buyers Club, which is based on Ron Woodroof, a man who contracted the disease from drug use in the 1980s.
Ontheredscarpet.com reports that McConaughey is eating minuscule portions high-protein, low-carb food to get down to his target weight but adds that he looks forward to having a cheeseburger when filming wraps up.
Star of various successful romantic comedies, Matthew McConaughey adds there’s more to his diet than just shedding pounds.
“It’s a bit of a spiritual cleanse, mental cleanse,” McConaughey told the Daily Mail. “It takes a while for your body to understand that it has to feed off of itself and that you’re not going to give it something else from the outside.”
It has been a busy year for the new super-skinny Matthew McConaughey. He married model Camila Alves in June, and the couple announced in July that they are expecting a third child. He has had a string of hit films as well.
The Wolf of Wall Street is being directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jonah Hill.
