Ann Romney Mocked By ‘Modern Family’ Creator For Liking The Show
Ann Romney, the wife of GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, was mocked on Twitter by the creator of her self-confessed “favorite show” Modern Family.
Ann Romney recently told ET’s Nancy O’Dell that the hit ABC comedy Modern Family is her favorite show. Ann responded to the question without hesitation, and the show’s creator quickly took to Twitter thereafter to mock her for liking the hit show. The Twitter mockery was somewhat tongue-in-cheek, with co-creator Steve Levitan inviting her onto the show for a guest spot where she would officiate a wedding between two of the show’s gay characters.
“Thrilled Ann Romney says ModFam is her favorite show,” Levitan tweeted. “We’ll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam’s wedding. As soon as it’s legal,” he remarked.
Levitan is referring to the two characters on Modern Family portrayed by Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, respectively.
Official GOP nominee Mitt Romney has said that he does not favor the legalization of same-sex marriage, but he also seems to enjoy watching Modern Family with his wife. So what, do they have a secret soft-spot for homosexuals or do they just mute the TV and read magazines during Mitch and Cam scenes?
Who knows.
Levitan’s tweet on Tuesday appeared just hours before Ann spoke at the RNC. She didn’t say anything about it, so we assume that Modern Family is still her favorite show.
