Kelly Ripa Betrayed Again? Is Michael Strahan Writing A Tell-All Book About His Time On ‘Live’?

Just when we thought the drama was over, Michael Strahan is reportedly betraying Kelly Ripa once again with a tell-all book about his time on Live With Kelly and Michael.

According to multiple sources, a publication has offered Strahan some $10 million to spill everything that went down behind-the-scenes.

Of course, Strahan has yet to confirm the offer to write such a revealing book. In fact, Gossip Cop is reporting that Strahan was not offered $10 million to write anything about Ripa.

An inside source told the outlet that the reports of Strahan’s tell-all are simply “not true.”

A tell-all would not be Strahan’s first book. He released Inside the Helmet: My Life as a Sunday Afternoon Warrior in 2007 and Wake Up Happy: The Dream Big, Win Big Guide to Transforming Your Life in 2015.

With both of his previous works having a pretty positive message, it would be pretty shocking for his third book to go entirely negative.

If Strahan reveals all the dirt he knows about Ripa, then it might actually damage her career. Even worse, there is a possibility that Strahan’s revelations could negatively affect Ripa’s marriage to Mark Consuelos.

That being said, Page Six is reporting that Ripa isn’t waiting to get the final word on Strahan’s dramatic exit from the show. Instead, Ripa has already dished on everything that went wrong in the weeks leading up to Strahan’s departure.

“There’s part of me that can say, ‘OK, I understand. This may have been an oversight.’ And again, after 26 years, at this point we are like family,” Ripa explained in an interview with People. “And sometimes when you’re so comfortable with somebody, you may not give them the same consideration as somebody you’re not as comfortable with — a certain formality falls away.”

As fans will recall, Strahan announced his shocking departure after being with Ripa for over four years. The news came just 30 minutes before they went live and as a surprise to Ripa, who subsequently took a couple of days off to think about her future.

Although network executives have since apologized for keeping Kelly Ripa out of the loop, she is still disappointed with how everything played out.

“We’re excited for Michael. He wanted that job, and it’s great for him. I think it is a perfect match. I really do,” Ripa shared. “However, what nobody considered is there’s a whole other group of people that it really impacts, because we have to now find another great person. Which is fun but challenging … When you don’t feel like you’re part of the group responsible for making decisions about that, it makes not just me feel bad, it makes us feel bad.”

With Strahan already out the door, the search for another co-host is now well underway. According to Yahoo, Ripa is considering hiring Rob Lowe.

When Regis Philbin left the show and before Strahan was selected, Lowe was reportedly close to becoming Kelly’s co-host. However, there were several factors that prevented Lowe from accepting the role, including his children.

“My kids are out of the house, they weren’t then,” Lowe recently explained. “Who knows… But listen, man, I don’t want to go up against Anderson Cooper. I don’t know if I’m going to go back as an actual guest host yet… You never know! You never know.”

Although Cooper is thought to be the clear frontrunner for the gig, he recently told Andy Cohen that producers have yet to offer him anything. In contrast, Lowe’s reps have reportedly been in contact with ABC about the spot on Live.

At this point, it is hard to tell who will replace Strahan and become Ripa’s next co-host. Whatever ends up happening, if Strahan writes a tell-all book, it is not going to alleviate the drama that remains between him and Ripa.
