Britney Spears’ BBMAs Appearance Sparks Plastic Surgery Rumors
Britney Spears made her sizzling red carpet appearance at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night, May 22. She even opened the live televised show by performing a medley of her hit songs. However, Britney’s recent appearance made some wonder if she’s had plastic surgery done on her face.
According to People magazine, Britney Spears wore a black lace see-through Reem Acra micro-mini that featured sheer embellished sleeves along with a high neck. Underneath the revealing dress, Spears wore a black bra and matching underwear. She also wore black, knee-high cage-style boots to go with her sexy dress. Yet, the comments on People magazine’s article speculated whether Spears has gone under the knife to alter her looks.
The 34-year-old is a far cry from the fresh-faced pop princess who shocked the world with her scintillating performances. But, some would say that Britney Spears no longer looks like her old self.“How sad – she is naturally pretty but has gone too far with the nose jobs,” one wrote.
“Does not even resemble her original self anymore! Actually, she looks more like Iggy Azalea than her former self. Britney, stop the plastic surgery. Ya hear me?” another added.
Even an article on Yahoo Lifestyle Australia slammed Britney for looking “unrecognizable” and posed the question, “What has she done to her face?” According to the Huffington Post, Britney had lip injections done by a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon in 2013.
Spears even got candid about the procedure in the January 2014 issue of InStyle Magazine.
“I just bought the new Shiseido face wash and moisturizer. I have no problem trying new brands. A doctor I see, [Beverly Hills plastic surgeon] Dr. [Raj] Kanodia, does fun stuff to me sometimes — I’ve had lip injections before. He has this peptide-based face-care product; it’s green and slimy, and you mix it together and put it on your face. It does wonders. You leave it on overnight. Can you tell I love skin care?”
It’s also possible that Spears looked different because of her makeup. Spears’ longtime makeup artist, Melanie Inglessias, revealed that she wanted to give the pop star a glowing sexy look, according to Billboard Magazine. Spears rocked a smoky eye look with nude lips, which showed off her fuller pout.
“Because Britney had a couple of outfit changes, I needed something that would look amazing across the board. I wanted healthy, gorgeous skin with luminosity and sexy smoky eyes in earth tones, and a nude but defined lip to finish the look. Glowing and sexy was the goal. The focus and the intensity were on her gorgeously captivating eyes.”
Back in March, OK! magazine reported that Britney Spears was undergoing a major transformation for both her face and her body. She reportedly attained her new body from plastic surgery.
Although Britney has been hitting the gym for the past “several months,” she also “needed some extra help, so she got Lipodissolve injections in her lower belly and thighs in January to melt the fat,” and insider told InTouch magazine, via OK! magazine.
The singer has been known for her hard-rock abs, but her trainer informed her that “it’s normal for women in their 30s to start storing fat in the belly area,” so she decided to “get some help.”
The source also added that Spears underwent another nose job. She “felt like her nose was getting bigger and wider, and making her look heavier in the face, so they trimmed it and narrowed the bridge.”
After Britney split from her boyfriend Charlie Ebersol in July 2015, she “was feeling really insecure about her looks,” so she decided to get a little nip and tuck to feel confident in her own skin.
The “Piece of Me” singer has been taking to social media to show off her banging bikini body. Spears is also releasing her new song and album sometime soon, in hopes of making another pop comeback.
