Does Gwen Stefani’s Son Celebrating Birthday At Blake Shelton’s Home Prove Proposal Rejection Rumors Untrue?
Gwen Stefani enlisted Blake Shelton’s help to make her oldest son’s 10th birthday one to remember, and Kingston Rossdale’s presence on Blake’s Oklahoma property could be evidence that there’s no truth to the rumors that Gwen turned down a marriage proposal from Blake.
Gwen Stefani went on one of her Snapchat sprees on Friday, and she provided plenty of evidence that she and her boys are spending Memorial Day weekend at Blake Shelton’s home in Oklahoma. Kingston’s birthday was on Thursday, and the Daily Mail reports that Gwen helped him celebrate turning 10 by letting him drive an ATV on Blake’s sprawling property.
“Happy birthday, Ki-Ki!” Gwen says to her son in the short Snapchat video (see it below) that shows Kingston behind the wheel of the vehicle. It’s possible that the ATV was one of Kingston’s birthday gifts, but he’ll only get to drive it whenever he visits Blake Shelton’s home in Oklahoma.

On the same day that Gwen Stefani and her sons headed to Oklahoma for the long weekend, Radar Online alleged that Blake Shelton recently proposed to Gwen. In its May 27 report, the webloid claims that Blake presented his girlfriend of almost seven months with a “$1.2 million Tiffany diamond engagement ring in a box of Kentucky Fried Chicken.” A source claims that Gwen turned Blake down, and that her kids played a part in her decision to reject Blake’s proposal.
“Gwen was very touched, but said she had to wait to make sure it was right for the kids,” the source said.
However, Gwen Stefani’s actions tell a different story; she certainly hasn’t been reluctant to let her sons spend time with Blake. As Extra reports, the boys previously spent their spring break exploring Blake’s property in Oklahoma. Blake also told Entertainment Tonight that he hangs around Gwen’s sons so much that they’ve become used to his presence. Gwen is letting her boys bond with Blake, and this isn’t the behavior of a woman who is having second thoughts about the new man in her life.
Gwen Stefani’s lack of reservations about letting her sons spend so much time with her boyfriend isn’t the only reason the proposal rejection rumors smell as fishy as the pond on Blake Shelton’s property. According to Gossip Cop, the National Enquirer is the original source of the story about Gwen being presented with an engagement ring in a a bucket of chicken. The Enquirer previously reported that Gwen accepted a proposal from Blake in December and that Blake dumped Gwen in February, so the publication doesn’t seem to be privy to accurate details about Gwen and Blake’s love life.

If Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani ever do get married, Blake will be a very hands-off stepdad. The proud country boy told Entertainment Tonight that he treats Gwen’s sons the same way he was treated when he grew up; he lets them run wild until it’s time for supper.
“When they come out there, I don’t see them much because if they’re at my place in Oklahoma, they’re in the woods. I don’t know how to keep control of them,” Shelton said. “Well, you know what? That’s what I grew up doing. Come back for dinner!”
However, Gwen Stefani has been providing her boys with plenty of parental supervision during their latest trip to Oklahoma. She kept an eye on Kingston and 7-year-old Zuma while they fished in Blake’s pond, and she recorded a short Snapchat video of their attempts to reel in a big one.

Gwen didn’t reveal whether her sons caught any fish, but she did share a photo of the birthday boy posing with a gigantic frog that was hanging out near the water.

While the older boys enjoyed trying to capture slimy critters, Gwen Stefani’s youngest son, 2-year-old Apollo, played in the dirt. As you can see, the curly-haired cutie has his own mini sandbox on Blake Shelton’s property.
