Amber Heard Bruised, Accuses Johnny Depp Of Physical & Verbal Abuse: ‘I Live In Fear That Johnny Will Return’
Amber Heard has received a temporary restraining order against Johnny Depp. The granting of that order results from Amber’s detailed description of the verbal and physical abuse that Heard alleges she received during their relationship, according to ET.
In her court petition, Amber revealed the depth of the abuse she alleges she suffered throughout their entire relationship.
“During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me,” alleged Heard. “I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse [including]…angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him.”
In addition, Amber, 30, used her petition to describe what she feels are the 52-year-old actor’s problems with both alcohol and drugs. Heard alleged that her estranged husband also has mental health issues and a volatile temper.
“[With] a long-held and widely-acknowledged public and private history of drug and alcohol abuse, he has a short fuse. He is often paranoid and his temper is exceptionally scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life threatening to me….Depending upon his interaction with alcohol and drugs,[his] paranoia, delusions and aggression increased throughout our relationship.”
Contending that she become increasingly aware of the actor’s “continued substance abuse,” Heard described the most recent fight last Saturday. A bruise near her eye resulted from having a cell phone thrown at her by Depp, according to the court documents that Amber filed.
Heard described the “peaceful conversation” that the former couple were having about the recent loss of his mother. Amber says that the actor abruptly started to obsess about “something that was untrue,” and she noticed a dramatic change in his behavior.
“He was inebriated and high,” Heard alleged.
Johnny then wanted to make a call to a mutual friend, a photographer, but grabbed the cell phone from Amber. The actor swore at the friend, who reportedly urged Heard to leave the house. She asked him to call 911. That’s when the physical battle began, according to Amber.
“Johnny then grabbed the cell phone, wound up his arm like a baseball pitcher and threw the cell phone at me striking my cheek and eye with great force. He then forceably pulled back my hair as I attempted to stand from the sofa… screaming at me, pulling my hair, striking me and violently grabbing my face.”
Heard says that the fight ended only when another friend used a key that Amber had given her to enter their home.

ET cites multiple sources who confirmed that this incident was only one of the times in which Depp behaved violently toward Amber. Heard expressed her fear in the court documents.
“I live in fear that Johnny will return to the residence unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally,” Amber stated.
After she filed the domestic violence restraining order against her estranged husband, Heard was seen leaving the courthouse with a noticeable bruise on her right eye, reported People.
“She’s being very brave,” said Amber’s lawyer.
A source told People that when Depp learned that Heard was planning to file the restraining order, he attempted to give Amber money to make her change her plan. Despite that attempt, Heard also filed for divorce, with the separation date listed as one day after the reported abuse.
While Amber cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce, a statement from her estranged husband sought to end speculation about what those differences involved, giving the recent death of his mother as the reason for refusing to respond to the allegations from Heard.
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
