Spanish giants Real Madrid face their crosstown rivals Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Final, as the biggest European club match of the year will stream live from the San Siro Stadium in what promises to be a fierce battle between the high-octane, glitzy offense of Real Madrid versus the gritty, tenacious defense of the smaller, less glamorous Atletico Madrid club.

The two Madrid clubs finished only two points apart on the Spanish La Liga table in the 2015-2016 season, both winning 28 matches. But Real Madrid managed two more draws to finish in second place with 90 points, while the Atleti lost six games to end on 88.

The two teams could not bring more different philosophies into their rematch of the 2014 UEFA Champions League Final. The relentless attack of Real Madrid, led by Portugal megastar Cristiano Ronaldo, blasted home 110 goals to just 63 for Atletico Madrid.

Smaller club Atletico relied on a nearly impenetrable defense, conceding a mere 18 times all season long, while Real Madrid let in almost twice as many, with a still respectable 34 goals allowed.

Real Madrid Captain Sergio Ramos says that his team is focused on executing the fundamentals, heading into Saturday’s massive match, a game that is expected to be watched by nearly 200 million viewers in 200 broadcasting territories around the world.

“We’ll have to be totally focused as finals are mostly decided on small details. The team that makes the fewest mistakes comes out on top,” Ramos said. “We have to show the humility, hard work and effort that has got us this far.”
