#TrumpvsBernie Debate: Donald Trump Backs Out Last Minute, Bernie Sanders Mocks ‘Tough Guy,’ Asks ‘What Are You Afraid of?’ to Trump
Last week, the Internet exploded when comedians tried to create a skit with Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders in a debate. The skit has become so popular that it has even reached the candidates themselves.
With the increasing demand on this much-awaited Debate, Donald Trump pushed the idea during his interviews. He even said that he would participate, but only if people where going to pay him.
Donald Trump said that if the #TrumpvsBernie debate would happen, he would donate all the proceeds to a charity.
Bernie Sanders now went on to talk with Jimmy Kimmel to thank him for making the debate possible. Since Kimmel has interviewed the two of them back-to-back, Sanders said that Kimmel paved the way for them to get connected. Since Sanders and Trump are not under the same party, it is hard for them to arrange any type of debate during the primaries.
However, a couple of days after the rising popularity of #TrumpvsBernie debate, Donald Trump went out and said that he is no longer debating the Democratic candidate.
In Trump’s statement, he blamed the “rigged” process of the Democratic nominees and “Crooked Hillary Clinton” so he “will not allow Sanders to win, and now that I am the presumptive Republican nominee, it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second-place finisher.”

With his outspoken rule on the proceeds of the supposed debate, Donald Trump also blamed the networks for “not proving to be too generous to charitable causes.”
Initially, the debate was set to happen in California on June 7. Bernie Sanders has also sent out an invitation to Hillary Clinton, but she refused because she said she just wanted to continue campaigning in the region.
Just a day before, Donald Trump had a very different point of view on things. He was saying that he would “love to debate Bernie,” especially when he thinks it would make good TV.
“I understand the television business very well. I think it would get high ratings,” Trump said.
Minutes later, Bernie Sanders already tweeted his approval saying, “Game on. I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before June 7 primary.”
Bernie Sanders Disappointed at “Bully” Trump
After hearing the news, Bernie Sanders talked to the reporters to express his disappointment. Bernie Sanders added that Trump quickly changes his mind during his interview with Bill Maher who said he “would have loved” to see this epic debate.
“First he said he would do it. Then he said he wouldn’t do it. Then he said he would do it. Then he said he wouldn’t do it,” Sanders said.
“So I would hope that if he changed his mind four times in two days, change it a fifth time. You know, Trump claims to be a real tough guy, pushes people around. Hey, Donald, come on up. Let’s have a debate about the future of America.”

Maher added that he was also disappointed with Donald Trump’s indecision.
“Mr. Macho chickened out,” said the TV host.
Sanders expressed his concern outside the cancelled event. He said that this kind of attitude is not good for anyone who wishes to run a nation.
He noted that if Trump would do this if he becomes president, it “would be not only an embarrassment, a real danger to this entire world.”
Bernie Sanders is against Trump’s ideals, noting that he is the type of politician who “lies all the time, because he changes his mind all the time.”
The #TrumpvsBernie debate could have been the highlight of the 2016 U.S. elections, but since the other debater backed out, people will just have to be content with the comedy show version of the debate.
