Katie Holmes has received so much praise for her elegant portrayal of Jackie Kennedy in The Kennedys, the 2011 miniseries that aired on Reelz. And now the actress will continue to wow audiences by reprising her role as Jackie Kennedy Onassis (or Jackie O as she was commonly called) in the upcoming miniseries The Kennedys: After Camelot.

This will be Katie Holmes’ second turn as the former first lady, and Reelz CEO Stan Hubbard feels that the actress is not only brave but also committed to play the role. The CEO feels that Katie is a talented woman who was able to understand how well respected Jackie Kennedy was in the international arena.

Apart from her personal and professional qualities, it is her striking resemblance to the former first lady that has everybody talking. According to People, Katie has portrayed the style icon to such perfection that she even carries herself on the sets with the same class and poise as that of Jackie Kennedy.

Recently, her perfection was captured in a scene in which she channeled the grace and verve of the former first lady as she walked alongside the actor who plays Maurice Tempelsman, who was Kennedy’s last companion. The scene, which showed Katie leaning her head on her co-star’s shoulder and giving him a loving kiss, will enliven the memory of Jackie for many of her admirers.

However, for Clint Hill, a former U.S. Secret Service agent, portraying Jackie Kennedy sharing an intimate moment with Tempelsman was highly unlikely as she was a private and restricted person. Additionally, the former Kennedy bodyguard holds the opinion that Jackie Kennedy was one of a kind and no one can portray her on-screen. Nevertheless, on watching Katie Holmes’s portrayal, Clint Hill appreciated the striking resemblance between Katie Holmes and Kennedy.

And if Katie Holmes’s recent photographs from the set of the upcoming miniseries highlight her resemblance to the American icon, then her childhood birthday photograph reveals how much she resembled her daughter Suri Cruise when she was five-years-old. In Style reported that Katie Holmes took to Instagram and celebrated Throwback Thursday by sharing a cute photo of herself at the 5th birthday party with her friends.

The black-and-white photograph shows Katie Holmes wearing a birthday hat and a ruffled dress as she and her friends enjoy birthday treats. And while her fans will undoubtedly find the young Katie Holmes adorable, they will also find the resemblance that the now-10-year-old Suri Cruise has with the then-5-year-old Katie Holmes in the throwback picture.

Katie Holmes has always been a protective parent for Suri. In fact, the em>International Business Times reports that one of the predominant reasons that Katie Holmes divorced Tom Cruise was because she feared that she would lose Suri Cruise to Scientology, the religion that the Top Gun star famously follows.

Scientology principles dictate that a Scientologist must cut off all contact with those family members who abandon the Church of Scientology. It is said that Tom Cruise’s ex-wife Nicole Kidman was disowned by her daughter Isabella when the actress decided to leave the church of Scientology. It has also been reported that the church’s staff members moved in with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to ensure that the Mission Impossible star was being looked after in a proper way. However, this interference did not go down well with Katie Holmes. Ultimately, the differences between the couple hurt their marriage to the extent that the two celebrities decided to part ways. In the end, for Katie Holmes, the main issue in her decision to leave Scientology, and her marriage, was to protect her daughter from the doctrines of the church.?
