Peta Murgatroyd Pregnant, Debuts Baby Bump Unofficially On ‘DWTS’ Finale [Photo]
Peta Murgatroyd is pregnant with her first child! The Dancing with the Stars pro and her husband-to-be, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are expecting a baby! The news has been confirmed by Us Weekly, just hours after Peta and her Dancing with the Stars partner, Nyle DiMarco, won the Mirror Ball Trophy.
Peta Murgatroyd dated Maks Chmerkovskiy in 2012 and in 2013, but the two broke things off after several months. Both of them dated around a bit before rekindling their love last year. In December, Chmerkovskiy got down on one knee during a performance in Miami in front of some of their closest friends.
Back in February, Peta had the following to say about her man.
“I’ve always said he has the most incredible generosity. He wants to take care of everybody that he knows. He has an incredible sense of humor when you get to see it. I think that his bad-boy image is slowly kind of drifting away — and that harsh Maksim image. He is the biggest teddy bear you’ll ever meet underneath that Ukrainian look. I just love him. Everything about him. He’s just a great man.”
Peta Murgatroyd, 29, is still high off of her incredible Dancing with the Stars season. She worked closely with her partner, Nyle, who is deaf. Although he couldn’t hear the music (not even a little), Nyle was able to nail moves and somehow keep his rhythm by taking cues from his amazing teacher, Peta. And just to think that she was pregnant for the past several weeks while working so hard!
As Peta Murgatroyd and Nyle DiMarco accepted the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy last night, fans had no idea that there was a little dancer inside Peta’s tummy. Check out this photo that Peta posted on Instagram — can you see her tiny baby bump?
Peta Murgatroyd hasn’t confirmed that she’s pregnant just yet. She is completely focused on celebrating her phenomenal season on Dancing with the Stars and giving Nyle DiMarco the credit he deserves. It is presumed that Peta and Maks will take to social media to thank fans for their well-wishes and confirm their exciting baby news very soon.

Peta Murgatroyd has always felt that Maks Chmerkovskiy would be a great dad. The Australian beauty has said that she is really looking forward to having children with him and she feels as though he will be a great dad.
“[He’s] somebody that I’ve always seen as being a great father and a great husband.”
Pregnant Peta Murgatroyd will be spending a lot of time without her man this summer, however. Maks and his brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, will be on tour for the next several weeks. According to the brothers’ tour website, “Our Way” will be performed at multiple theaters in various cities through mid-August.

No word yet on whether Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy plan on getting married before their baby comes. It’s also unclear when Peta is due, but it is presumed that she’s about three months along now, putting baby Chmerkovskiy on the board for a fall arrival.
It’s safe to assume that Peta Murgatroyd won’t be competing on next season of Dancing with the Stars, but she went out on the highest of notes!
