‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Emilia Clarke Wants More Male Nudity

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the hit HBO television series, wants more male nude scenes. Game of Thrones could use a little more “junk equality,” Emilia told Stephen Colbert on Monday’s episode of The Late Show.

“You know I did it, so why can’t the boys do it?” Clarke said to Colbert. “I think they heard me.”

Emilia was referring to the male full frontal close up on last Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones. Both Clarke and Colbert agreed it was about time.

The Game of Throne’s male nude scene happened when an actor in a local troupe was inspecting his penis for genital warts. The male nudity certainly wasn’t sexy like we expect from the female actresses. Metro called the scene rather disappointing.

Although male nude scenes is not new to Game of Thrones, (we recently got to see Jon Snow’s beautiful backside after he came back from the dead), the nude scene distribution certainly could not be called equal among both genders. At least one female nude scene can be expected in just about every episode of Game of Thrones. Not so much when it comes to the male characters.

“There’s plenty of female nudity, myself included,” Clarke had told The Late Late Show with James Corden. “And I feel like … I think we should get some equal male nudity and female nudity … Free the penis.”

Emilia is not shy herself when it comes to nude scenes. On Game of Thrones episode “Book of the Stranger,” Daenerys reminded everyone she had earned her titles of The Mother of Dragons, Khaleesi of the Dothraki, and The Unburnt. After declaring the Dothraki leaders unfit to lead, she literally burned down the house around them. She emerged from the flames with not so much as a soot stain. However, all her clothes had been conveniently engulfed in the fire. Dany’s dramatic exit from the burning Dothraki house turned her from the Dothraki’s prisoner into their leader.

Dany shows she’s still a strong contender in the Game of Thrones by rising from the ashes.

Clarke is proud of her nude scenes in Game of Thrones. She’s even comfortable enough to watch the them with her parents, as reported by the Inquisitr.

“For me, I did it before in Season One [of Game of Thrones] and people like to talk about it,” Emilia told Colbert regarding deciding on not to use a body double. “So I just wanted to come out and do an empowered scene, which wasn’t sexual. It was naked, but it was strong.”

Recently on Game of Thrones, Daenerys had come across a run of bad luck. The attack from the Sons of Harpy had her fleeing her city of Meereen, eventually losing her dragons, and being captured by the Dothraki. Daenerys once again proved she was a born leader, clever, and merciless in her own brand of justice.

Clarke talked to EW regarding Daenerys’s epic nude scene on Game of Thrones.

“It’s so exciting, very tingly-making. Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment. I just stand up and I go, ‘I’m hearing what you’re all saying, but funny thing, I’m going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket and now I win.’ ”
