Carrie Underwood is showing off her insane body in a bikini on the cover of Us Weekly’s Hot Bodies issue just over a year after Underwood gave birth to her first child, Isaiah.
Underwood graces the June 6 issue of the magazine sporting a swimsuit from her own CALIA by Carrie Underwood range from Dick’s Sporting Goods, where Carrie admitted that she actually feels better now than she did when she won American Idol 11 years ago.
“I feel much better now at 33 than I did when I was 20 because I take better care of myself,” Carrie admitted in the magazine’s 2016 Hot Bodies Issue , revealing just how she keeps herself fit while on tour and with a little one in tow.
“I like squats, lunges. If I go for a jog and I meet up with a good hill, I will lunge up the hill and that will burn them out,” Carrie, who gave birth to her son in February 2015, told the magazine.
Carrie previously showed off her seriously toned bikini body on Instagram earlier this year, posting a shot of herself hitting the pool in another modest piece from her CALIA collection while in Las Vegas for the 2016 ACM Awards in April.
“I’m so proud to be able to work with @dickssportinggoods to create a line of swimwear that makes me feel so good!” Carrie captioned the photo. “Adorable and athletic… and covers everything I want covered!” Underwood continued, alongside the hashtags “#staythepath, “#summeriscoming” and “#vegas.”
Carrie Underwood has been seriously vocal about her dedication to fitness in the past, even taking to Instagram once again earlier this year to show off the state of the art gym she had installed on her tour bus to follow her around North America on her uber-popular Storyteller: Stories In The Round Tour, where Underwood promised to get “shredded by summer.”
Carrie gave fans a glimpse at her incredible gym equipment on social media prior to the kick-off of her huge tour, which included everything from free weights to running machines.
“Now I can work out anywhere!” Underwood told her millions of Instagram followers alongside the peek inside her lavish mobile gym. “New tour toys! Had a #mobilegym made for this year!”
Underwood then continued in the photo ‘s caption, “My new motto is: #ShreddedBySummer… I’ll post progress as I go! I’m super excited!”
Carrie, who previously spoke about how her passion for health and fitness has developed over her decade-long stint in the spotlight following her American Idol win, recently admitted to Yahoo Beauty at the launch of her CALIA range that she’s really learned how to take care of herself in recent years.
“I think it’s something that’s developed over the years,” Underwood told the site when asked about how her love of health and exercise has grown. “I remember when I was younger, trying to pay attention to labels [and] what I’m putting in my body, because it does make such a difference — it is fuel for the body.”
“We treat things we love with such care — think of your favorite pair of shoes or your car that you love, or your house. You keep it clean,” Carrie Underwood continued in the interview.
“Our bodies should be the same way: Treat them with care, and with love, and watch what you put into them. So I’ve always been into that. And you can find so much information now,” Carrie admitted of her health and fitness routine to Yahoo Beauty . “You can look things up and learn how to read labels and learn what foods are good for you and what exercises are good for you.”
