‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Chad Johnson Trashes Ben Higgins, How Long Does He Last With JoJo Fletcher? [Video]
Chad Johnson may turn out to be one of the most talked about contestants on JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette. From talking smack about former Bachelor Ben Higgins to almost coming to blows with other guys in the mansion, the self-absorbed 28-year-old Oklahoma real estate agent is rumored to become the Season 12 villain.
What is Chad’s beef with Ben? Who does he duke it out with? And does he become one of JoJo’s front-runners this season, or will his less-than-complimentary words about the Bachelorette star during a group date earn him a one-way ticket to Bachelor in Paradise?
[Warning: Bachelorette spoilers ahead]
Host Chris Harrison recently told Yahoo! that Chad is one of his top five guys to watch this season, but that doesn’t mean he will be a fan favorite. Chris states that Johnson has “an ego to go with the Olympic-sized body,” something that is obvious when he starts ranting about how great he is compared to “softy” Ben Higgins.
Chad: rugged, manly, and “just like Ben”. His words, not ours.https://t.co/q0OZ0eLrS9

Chad tells producers during an ITM, or “in the moment” segment, “I am like a manlier, more rugged version of Ben… He’s just a softy. He’s just a soft, supple, smooth, friendly guy.”
Obviously, producers edited his conversation to make it sound as cocky as possible, but one look at Chad’s ABC bio and fans will be convinced that he may be so in love with himself that he won’t have any room in his heart left to find love with JoJo.
Chad’s greatest achievement? “Being born good looking.” Who does he admire the most in the world? Himself, “10 years from now.” If Chad could be someone else for a day, guess who he’d pick? Himself, of course.
Blogger Reality Steve revealed that Chad, who served in the U.S. Marines, acted as if he is “God’s gift to the world” during filming and “pretty much wanted to fight every guy” on the show. Testosterone overload, anyone?
During a group date at ESPN SportsNation that will air during Episode 2 on May 30, spoilers reveal that Chad calls JoJo “naggy,” and while his comment doesn’t go over well, JoJo doesn’t send him home.
Although JoJo lets his “naggy” comment pass, she doesn’t tolerate his self-absorbed behavior much longer. Chad is part of a sex talk group date on Episode 3 (airing June 7) and Reality Steve reveals that he shoves Evan on stage and then tries to kiss JoJo. She rejects the kiss but keeps him around (perhaps, for entertainment?) for another week.
Spoilers point to Chad going on a two-on-one date in Pennsylvania on Episode 4 (airing June 14) and once again, he gets physical with contestant Alex Woytkiw. Although he doesn’t get the rose and JoJo (finally) sends him home, Chad makes an appearance back at the mansion before he goes and it gets ugly.
“The guys are partying back at the resort when Alex comes back celebrating that Chad is gone, but the show for whatever reason lets Chad come back to the resort… he apparently gets in Jordan’s face and h*** breaks loose. He started poking Jordan in the face and it got physical. End result is that Chad eventually went home.”
If the spoilers are correct, Chad will leave with one of the most villainous reputations in the history of the Bachelor franchise. Don’t be surprised if he is part of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 cast (August 2 premiere) — hopefully, JJ Lane and Joe Bailey will be there to make it a villain trifecta.
