‘The Originals’ Season 3 Finale: EP On Mikaelsons Fate And What To Expect In Season 4 [Spoilers]
The Originals Season 3 finale left fans in shock. What happens with the Mikaelson family and the other characters now? Executive producer Michael Narducci had a few things to say, including what to expect in Season 4.
Warning: If you have not seen The Originals Season 3 finale, there will be spoilers.
On the Season 3 finale of The Originals, the prophecy was fulfilled. However, that doesn’t mean it is the end for the Mikaelson family. The conclusion of the episode showed Hayley taking baby Hope and going on the run. Is there any hope for Klaus, Elijah, Kol, Freya and Rebekah?

Due to the prophecy, Rebekah will turn into a ripper and Freya will die from being poisoned. Elijah and Kol were both bitten and there is no cure. As for Klaus Mikaelson, he was struck with the Tunde blade, which landed him in a coma from the pain and agony. While Hayley had four caskets in the back of the moving van, Klaus’ body was locked away in a tomb.
So far, it doesn’t sound too good for the main characters of The Originals. As the Inquisitr previously reported, fans shouldn’t grieve the loss of their favorite characters just yet.
“Season 4 is just packed with story potential,” Michael Narducci told TV Guide. “What you can definitely assume is that after a time cut, these sleeping giants are going awaken and they are not going to be happy. There’s going to be a reunion of all these characters. As to what happens there, I’m going to leave it to the fans to think about and debate amongst themselves. We’ve got some great stuff planned.”
Speaking to TV Line, Narducci talked about Hayley’s storyline in Season 4 of The Originals.

“There were hints in the finale of what Hayley’s next move is going to be,” Narducci told TV Line about Phoebe Tonkin‘s character in The Originals. “I don’t want to say too much, but I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility that Hayley will look to find a way — either by using her own vampire power or by using a witch — to try to communicate with [everyone in the dream world]. She has a giant puzzle to figure out in order to cure everyone, and given that they’re dying from a wolf bite, I think you can guess who she might turn to.”
As for if and how Klaus Mikaelson will be saved in The Originals Season 4, fans might expect a twist.

“I don’t know you should assume that the Mikaelsons are the ones that get Klaus out. Maybe there’s some other person that’s going to get Klaus out. Maybe Klaus will get himself out,” Narducci teased to TV Guide regarding Joseph Morgan’s character in The Originals. “Maybe someone is going to decide that there’s a big problem in the world and Klaus Mikaelson is the only person that can help us deal with it.”
As for Marcel, the executive producer made it clear that the character is not a villain. Marcel will not be consumed by power when The Originals returns. Narducci said that Marcel is still the same person, just stronger and more powerful. However, he will never back down from someone ever again. As for what to expect from Marcel and Vincent in Season 4 of The Originals, they are neutral. Vincent did warn Marcel in the Season 3 finale, but Vincent’s main concern is for the city of New Orleans. If that means siding with Marcel, then he will do that. If it means going against him, then Vincent will do that, too.
What did you think of the Season 3 finale of The Originals? Any predictions on Season 4 of The CW vampire series? Can Hayley save her family? Will Klaus Mikaelson return and if so, how will it happen?
