‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Star Files $100 Million Lawsuit

The Real Housewives of New Jersey will return this summer on Bravo, but one person won’t return. Amber Marchese and her husband Jim have announced that they are not returning to the show. For a while, they campaigned for The Real Housewives of New Jersey to come back on Bravo without Teresa Guidice and her family, but the network decided to suspend the show until Teresa returned. Amber and James were not pleased with the network’s decision to cater to a criminal. But, it sounds like these two can make headlines all on their own.

According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star James Marchese is supposedly suing an airline over a recent arrest. Just a few weeks ago, he was arrested for supposedly being physical violent with his wife on a flight. He was arrested in Los Angeles after the cops arrived. The attorneys didn’t see a case, and they didn’t press any charges against him, but he isn’t happy. This Real Housewives of New Jersey star is now suing Virgin Airlines for a cool $100 million, possibly in damages.

He claims that the arrest hurt him both personally and professionally. Of course, James works in the legal field and being arrested isn’t good for his business. Even though he wasn’t being violent with Amber, he claims that the arrest has hurt him personally as well. The charges have been dropped, but he isn’t happy.

“The District Attorney’s office as well as the City Attorney refused to press charges after reviewing the lack of evidence in the case against James Marchese,” the family’s publicist has revealed to Radar Online, according to Bravo.“Amber and I have a mutually respectful, beautiful relationship and any allegation I would ever physically harm my wife is clearly someone’s twisted view of a character played on TV.”

Of course, Marchese is known for being a troublemaker. While he was filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey, he quickly became known as the villain. He didn’t want to hang out with Joe Giudice because of the charges he was facing and he had no problem causing troubles and stirring up rumors about relationships and the ladies on the show. Marchese and Dina Manzo often got into heated arguments. But there’s a huge difference between being a troublemaker on a reality show and being an abusive spouse.

“She would never stand for any type of mistreatment. To put it mildly, she would kick my ass if I ever got out of line!” Marchese reveals about his wife Amber, who was on The Real Housewives of New Jersey for a while.

James and his wife spoke out about the incident after it happened, and they both denied any form of violence against Amber. Instead, they hinted that they had tried to be frisky on the plane and possibly engage in some sexual activity. But some people saw his actions as being violent. The witnesses notified the flight crew, who ensured that the police were waiting for them when the plane arrived at the gate.

“At the request of officers, a male suspect and a female victim left the aircraft,” the police told E! News at the time of his arrest. “Additional questioning revealed the suspect had grabbed the victim by the throat and made threats against her. Suspect James Marchese was arrested and transported to LAPD Pacific Division where he was booked.”

After the charges were dropped, Marchese decided that he needed to be reimbursed both financially and emotionally. After paying $50,000 in bail, this Real Housewives of New Jersey star is now suing for $100 million.
