‘The 100’: What Will Be The Focus Of Season 4? [Theory]
The 100 Season 3 finale aired on the CW network Thursday night. With the post-apocalyptic series renewed for Season 4, what will be the focus?
Warning: If you have not seen The 100 Season 3 finale, “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two,” spoilers are ahead.
Season 3 of The 100 was all about the City of Light and artificial intelligence. That was enough for the Sky Crew to deal with, but then Pike (Michael Beach) had to arrive and cause even more problems. He ended up convincing Bellamy (Bob Morley) to join his anti-Grounder crusade and participated in murdering the army that was sent to protect Arkadia.
Indra (Adina Porter) was left alive but injured. Bellamy convinced Pike to let her live in order to relay a message. Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) did her best to help Indra and was horrified her own brother could do such a thing.
Later in the season, Indra was prepared to deal with Pike, but the situation with Alie (Erica Cerra) had reached a dangerous level. He was kept alive, and right after Clarke (Eliza Taylor) saved the day thanks to Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Raven (Lindsey Morgan), Octavia did not hesitate to kill Pike.
Octavia does not play around, as TV Line hinted in the recap of “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two.”
So, what can fans expect in Season 4 of The 100? That information is not known yet, not even to cast members.
“I have no idea what Season 4 has in store for us, but I feel very grateful that we get to continue this story,” Eliza Taylor told IGN. “There are so many shows like this that don’t get the opportunity to continue their story and I’m so excited.”
So, what are some theories on what fans might expect in Season 4 of The 100?

There is always the possibility of another villain, but it seems that a clue was left during the Season 3 finale. Alie told Clarke that the world is close to being uninhabitable because of the power plants that are breaking down. Was Alie telling the truth? Even though some would not believe the AI, she is not human. She is a computer, a machine that as installed with a program. With that being said, she was also programmed to do what was necessary, as previously reported by the Inquisitr.
So, if the power plants melting down will be the focus in The 100 Season 4, it is too big of a job for Clarke and company. They don’t have the knowledge, resources, or tools to stop it. The only thing they could really do is prepare for it, distance themselves from it, or find a way back into space.
Other things that could happen in The 100 Season 4 is the ongoing battle between the Sky Crew and the Grounders. Their war due to Pike and Bellamy’s actions was rudely interrupted by Alie. She began by using Jaha (Isaiah Washington), then others, to convince people to take the chip. This resulted in them turning into human shells with no real memories or feelings.

The issues between the Sky Crew and the Grounders are not over yet.
There is also Octavia’s actions at the end of The 100 Season 3 finale. After Pike saved her life, she didn’t hesitate to kill him. Of course, he deserved it, but to have Octavia do it so quickly was a bit of a shock. She certainly has changed a lot since the show began a few years ago. Also, don’t forget that Octavia has not had time to properly grieve Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). Could this set her up for a major storyline of her own in Season 4?
What do you think will be the focus of The 100 Season 4? Was Alie telling the truth about the power plants melting down? How will the Sky Crew and the Grounders related now that this is all over? What will Octavia’s storyline be when the show returns?
