Hayden Panettiere Leaves Husband And Baby After ‘Nashville’ Cancellation For Rehab
Hayden Panettiere is back in rehab to treat her postpartum depression after her ABC show Nashville got cancelled. This means that her husband, Wladimir Klitschko, is in sole charge of their baby daughter, Kaya, as Hayden battles her depression.
“Last week, Hayden Panettiere, star of ABC’s now-canceled drama Nashville, announced she was re-entering rehab to treat postpartum depression after initial treatment in October,” reports Vice. “Panettiere, who has spoken publicly about living with the condition, said she needed to treat her illness ‘holistically,’ rather than rely on ‘unhealthy coping mechanisms.'”
The great thing is that Hayden has not been hiding her issue, saying that it is something that affects a lot more mothers than the public thinks. Only by hiding it, it has become a taboo topic in society.
“Unlike Panettiere, the majority of mothers with postpartum depression are left to struggle with the illness on their own,” reports Vice. “Only 15 percent of women suffering from postpartum depression—or up to 800,000—receive professional care, according to Postpartum Progress, a national nonprofit focused on maternal mental health.”
“The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life. Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!” Hayden Panettiere wrote on her Twitter.
She has been trying to best live her life after she gave birth to her baby daughter in 2014. She has been posting various pictures of her enjoying life with her husband, and showing off how she has been recovering from the delivery.

The Nashville actress has been open about her road to recovery, and not being afraid of showing her weak and vulnerable side.
“It was strange having to throw myself back into that frame of mind,” she said according to Yahoo! Style. Also considering the fact that she suffered from postpartum depression meant that she had a lot more to deal with after giving birth to her baby.
“I was always so terrified that people weren’t going to accept me,” the 26-year-old actress said in the interview with Yahoo!. “I finally just went, I’m tired of living afraid. I’m tired of living in fear of what people are going to think, so, you know, I’m just going to put it all out there on the table and I’m not going to worry about the judgment.”
She realized that the more she was frank about her experience, the more accepting and supportive the public has been to her.
“The more open I was, the more acceptance I got from people,” she said. “I got so much support and so much love. I was floored. I feel much more exposed, yes, but in a great way.”
Her husband has always been supportive her, happily babysitting and taking his daughter to the beach whenever he has time off from his training and fights.
Having Nashville cancelled probably didn’t help her current state.
“We are incredibly disappointed to hear the news that ABC has not renewed the show Nashville for another season,” Nashville mayor said according to Perez Hilton. “The show has been an enormously successful promotional tool for our city, which is why the state of Tennessee and Metro Nashville were prepared to support production for a fifth season the be filmed here. This is a loss for ABC and for the millions of fans across the world who have grown to love this show.”
