Hillary, Bill Clinton Health Issues Raised Ahead Of June 7 Super Tuesday

Bill Clinton has not made routine appearances for wife Hillary’s presidential campaign, and speculation as to why that is has been rampant.

While the former President of the United States does drop in at events from time to time, and Hillary has said that she will consult her husband on economic matters, he has played a less-than-supporting role on the campaign trail.

On Thursday, May 19, questions were raised that it could be due to concerns over his questionable past with women (including rape allegations), but that it could also be the result of failing health.

Adam Carolla, who works frequently with Dr. Drew Pinsky, did not confine the concerns to just Bill Clinton either, sharing a bit of insight that he had gleaned from Pinsky during a recent conversation.

“I was talking to Dr. Drew at his place a little bit about Hillary and her health,” Carolla said on the latest episode of his podcast. “He was talking about the slip and her hitting her head and the medications she’s on, and he was really concerned.”

The “slip” Carolla is referring to occurred in December of 2012 and is detailed in full in this piece from Business Insider.

Carolla continued.

“He was like, I don’t know why she’s on that combination of medications. This thing that they’re passing off as not a big deal, this is what happens when you slip-and-fall — not at all, according to Drew, because there’s a major vessel that goes behind your sinuses and that thing shouldn’t be clogged up because it’s that big and the fact that it was is alarming.”

Of course, the comedian offered the precursor that during this conversation, “I was drunk,” and said “there is a tune-out factor when it comes to Drew.”

Laughs aside, he acknowledged that Hillary’s incident was a much “bigger deal” to Dr. Drew than the press made it out to be. That said, he, his team, and guest Greg Fitzsimmons, saved most of their health concerns for Bill Clinton.

Carolla seemed to think there could be a health issue with Bill because of the ex-president’s dramatic weight loss, his weakening voice, and an acknowledgement of something Fitzsimmons pointed out.

“He just seems tired.”

“He’s hunched over,” added co-host Gina Grad. “He’s frail and he’s hunched.”

Fitzsimmons also asked if maybe the Bill Clinton campaigning pullback was due more to issues the former president has had with women.

“That’s a very good point,” Carolla said. “There is a lot of sexual harassment and borderline rape allegations in Bill Clinton’s background…. There is a lot of stuff as far as Bill Clinton goes, but there is also a lot of stuff involving Hillary running interference. The allegation (from Hillary towards Bill Clinton accusers) is either, ‘she’s crazy,’ or ‘she’s a slut.’ There’s enough of that out there that I think it’s going to come back on Hillary, and it’ll be basically, ‘why were you running interference for your husband, who’s if not a serial rapist, out there abusing women? How are you going to answer to these allegations?'”

Carolla did not say whether he believed the Bill Clinton allegations, but acknowledged “they’re out there” and felt Trump would have a field day with it in the general election.

He’s not wrong there either, as Donald Trump has already started tweeting about it and speaking on the issues at campaign events.
