Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Wedding Teasers: Will This ‘Bachelor’ Duo Tie The Knot This Summer?
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell fell in love on ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season, and they have been a strong team ever since their engagement last November during the final rose ceremony. Ben and Lauren have teased that they were not planning on having a long engagement, and now the buzz is that they may be getting married earlier than anybody anticipated. What’s the scoop?
Previously, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have said that they might be getting married by the end of the year. In recent interviews at various appearances, they had said that wedding planning would be starting soon, but the process has not yet kicked fully into gear and no date had been picked. The Bachelor lovebirds have mentioned a winter timeframe more than once, and that kind of timing certainly would fall in line with the timing of previous franchise weddings.
However, according to Us Weekly, Ben and Lauren may not want to wait that long. Insiders are teasing that Higgins and Bushnell may get married this summer, which would be lightning quick for couples from “Bachelor Nation.” They have said since their “After the Final Rose” special that they were doing great and would absolutely be getting married, and they certainly appear to be head-over-heels in love with one another.
Lauren and Ben have always said they would be open to having their Bachelor wedding televised on ABC, and it sounds as if that may well be how this works out. If Higgins and Bushnell do get married on television, that certainly allows for the planning to be fast-tracked. The network will plan and dictate much of the event details, and they can get things done much more quickly than the duo could do on their own.
So far, no one from the show has confirmed that plans are being made for a summer wedding. These weddings are typically held in Los Angeles, which makes it easy from a planning standpoint for the network. However, she has said in the past that she’d love a summer wedding in Portland, Oregon, where she is from originally. Given the popularity of Ben and Lauren with “Bachelor Nation,” it may well be that the couple will have some sway in making an Oregon wedding happen if they decide that’s what they want.
Higgins and Bushnell are living together in Denver, Colorado, these days, but they have been doing a lot of traveling since their finale aired. They typically do events together, but the two have had separate agendas in recent days. Ben and Lauren were in Las Vegas with her family as Mother’s Day weekend started, but then Higgins flew to Indiana to be with his mom for the day.
She flew to California for her brother’s college graduation, then she was in Seattle earlier this week for an Alaska Airlines event. After that, Bushnell jetted back to California, and she was spending some time with fellow Bachelor contestants Jubilee Sharpe and Amanda Stanton.
Ben has confirmed that he is back at working his full-time job at Talysis, the same company he worked for before filming, while Lauren is said to be working for Alaska Airlines again on a part-time basis. Lauren just got back to Denver after being apart from Ben for a week, and it looks like they’re thrilled to be reunited.
Being a flight attendant with a flexible schedule certainly will make it easy on Bushnell if she needs to head to California frequently for some intense wedding planning, and many Bachelor fans have a hunch that the process is already well underway. Naturally, there are a lot of planning components she will likely be fine handling without Higgins by her side, but at the moment, it’s just speculation that some of her recent travels to Los Angeles have been related to possible wedding planning. If indeed Ben and Lauren are going to get married this summer, fans should be learning more soon.
Will Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have a big televised Bachelor wedding this summer? Next up for the franchise is JoJo Fletcher’s turn as the Bachelorette lead, and everybody is anxious to see if she can find lasting love as well.
