Jill Duggar And Jessa Duggar Accused Of Planning Pregnancies For TV, TLC Calls Jill Part Of Network’s ‘Family’
Jill Duggar just celebrated turning 25-years-old, and if recent reports are to be believed, her birthday wish was that she and her younger sister, 23-year-old Jessa, will both get pregnant in the near future.
According to Raw Story, there’s some speculation that Jessa and Jill Duggar are trying to synchronize their next pregnancies in an attempt to save their new TLC series, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, from being canceled. Certified Professional Midwife Jill helped give birth to this conspiracy theory when she teased a possible double Duggar pregnancy during the Jill & Jessa: Counting On finale. However, she didn’t say that she and Jessa will try to get pregnant at the exact same time — she hinted that she’ll announce baby number two before Jessa does.
“I think we will probably be pregnant at the same time, but to say who will be first, well Israel is older… so we will see,” Jill Duggar told the TLC cameras.

The Hollywood Gossip speculates that Jill and Jessa conspired about becoming “pregnancy-buddies” before talking to the TLC cameras about the futures of their wombs.
“The ladies act as though the idea of simultaneous gestation periods just popped into their minds at that moment, but their poker faces aren’t the greatest, and we’d be willing to bet this isn’t the first time they’ve had this conversation.”
Because of the Duggar family’s multiple scandals and issues with advertisers abandoning Jill & Jessa: Counting On, many Duggar critics believe that TLC will not renew the show for a second season. However, the network recently indicated that it still has a soft spot for the controversy-plagued reality show stars, and it may already be filming a second season of the series. TLC shared two posts about Jill Duggar’s birthday on the Jill & Jessa: Counting On Facebook page, and one of these posts made it clear that Jill is still considered a member of the “TLC family.”
“Happy Birthday, Jill! Your TLC family wishes you all the best!” the post read.
It included a video montage of photos of Jill growing up in front of the camera. Jill Duggar’s parents shared the video on their family’s Facebook page, and they couldn’t resist pointing out that TLC took the time to produce the “wonderful” birthday tribute for their daughter.
Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, are still living as missionaries in El Salvador, and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar actually flew all the way there to celebrate Jill’s birthday with her. As the Duggar Family News: Life Is Not All Pickles and Hairspray Facebook page reports, family members have visited Jill, Derick, and their son Israel at least four times in the last six months. Because these visits cost so much money, there’s some speculation that TLC paid for Jim Bob and Michelle’s trip and brought cameras along to document Jill’s birthday celebrations.
“Doubtful they are paying even one red cent… TLC (The Lying Channel) is undoubtedly paying for absolutely everything!” David McCormick Nancy Hahnen commented on the Pickles and Hairspray Facebook post.

The last time Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar flew to El Salvador, their visit was filmed. As the Duggar Family Blog reports, the April 12 episode of Jill & Jessa: Counting On showed Michelle giving baby Israel his first haircut. During a later trip, Jessa Duggar, a few of her siblings, her husband, and her baby son were filmed visiting Jill. The footage from this trip was featured in the May 3 Counting On finale.
The Duggars’ decision to head back to El Salvador yet again may be evidence that they’re filming a second season of Jill & Jessa: Counting On. Nothing has been announced yet, but TLC has a history of waiting until it has plenty of footage filmed before making announcements about the family. On February 23, Us Weekly revealed that Jill & Jessa: Counting On would be getting a full season, and the show premiered just three weeks later on March 15. TLC likely waits to make announcements about the Duggars’ TV series to avoid dealing with months of angry comments from critics of the family.
While Jessa and Jill Duggar might not be expecting just yet, there’s a chance that the TLC cameras will be around to film their double pregnancy announcements whenever they make them.
