It’s been a good week for singer Lana Del Rey . Not only was she named the new face of H&M for a winter ad campaign, she has also landed a similar gig as the face of Jaguar’s new F-Type car line.
The sultry-voiced songstress is now lending her pout to Jaguar, adding yet another modelling gig to the singer’s resume. “Singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey will collaborate with Jaguar on the launch of the all-new F-TYPE, a two-seater sports car that is a vivid representation of the vitality of the Jaguar brand,” Jaguar Global Brand Director Adrian Hallmark said, according to Sodahead . “The allure of Jaguar is in large part due to its duality — a unique blend of authenticity and modernity, two values that we believe are shared with Lana in her professional achievements,” Hallmark added.
According to Forbes , Jaguar has been working overtime to change up its marketing strategy lately. The next step involves the F-Type, the crown jewel in Jaguar’s reinvention as a relevant luxury brand. With the F-Type, the company is hoping to give the public a suitable entry to follow the iconic E-Type.
As for Lana Del Rey, she seems excited about her potential future in modelling, and defends her iconic pout. “They’re real lips, I mean. In real life my lips don’t look that big,” she said back in February. “I think because I cartoonized the footage of myself in the video for ‘Video Games’ things look exaggerated.”
“I’m quite pouty,” she said. “That’s just how I look when I sing.”
