‘The 100’: Eliza Taylor On Darker Season 3 Finale, Returning Characters, And Alternate Ending [Spoilers]
The 100 Season 3 finale, “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two,” airs Thursday on the CW network. What can be expected from the Sky Crew after Clarke’s plan failed? Actress Eliza Taylor recently spoke about the “even darker” season finale, returning characters, and an alternate ending.
Warning: This post includes spoilers for the 100 Season 3 finale.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) will take Alie’s (Erica Cerra) chip and enter the City of Light. While there, the 100 character will encounter some old faces. One of those includes her deceased lover, Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey).

When Lexa died earlier this season, fans were upset. Not only did Lexa deserve much more, but viewers didn’t appreciate showrunner Jason Rothenberg’s response to criticism. Later, he wrote a letter of apology to fans, but “Clexa” shippers would still like to see Lexa’s memory honored. Although the details are being kept quiet, fans will hopefully be happy with Lexa’s return to The 100 in the Season 3 finale.
“I think it’s pretty obvious [what Clarke finds in the City of Light] at this point given the photos that are online,” Eliza Taylor told TV Guide. “Me and a little human named Lexa. She’s definitely going to come across some things that she never thought she would again. I don’t know how to tell you anything else without spoiling, but I think fans are going to be very happy.”
However, Lexa is not the only character that will return in The 100 Season 3 finale.
“You’ll get caught up with everybody. You’ll get a lot of ends wrapped up. You’ll see a lot of characters you haven’t seen for a while,” Lindsey Morgan revealed in a separate interview with TV Guide. “I think the finale is a really great bookend to the entire journey that everyone has been on since Season 1.”
On the last episode of The 100, Clarke witnessed Alie ordering Abby to hang herself. It was an attempt by Alie to get Clarke to reveal the password to the Flame. However, Clarke kept quiet, knowing that no matter what, Alie could not have the information. It was a shocking episode, but things are going to get even worse in the Season 3 finale.

“I don’t know if it can get much worse than watching my mother hang herself and blaming it on me,” Taylor told IGN regarding the Season 3 finale, “but it’s like I always say – with The 100, just when you thought it couldn’t get darker, it gets darker. I think people will be quite shocked in the season finale but that’s why you guys are still watching.”
The actress also revealed an interesting tidbit. There were two endings that were filmed for “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two.” However, Taylor doesn’t know which one viewers will see on the CW when it airs Thursday night. No matter which ending is used, the actress is confident that everyone is going to be shocked by how Season 3 of The 100 ends.
“In the season’s epic and mind-bending conclusion, our heroes begin to face the reality of their tragic situation,” Carter Matt wrote regarding The 100 Season 3 finale press release. “Everyone prepares for a final showdown. Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Isaiah Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Lindsey Morgan, Devon Bostick, Christopher Larkin and Richard Harmon also star. Dean White directed the episode written by Jason Rothenberg.”
