‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Chad Johnson: Season 12 Villain Headed To ‘Bachelor In Paradise’? [Spoilers]
Every season of The Bachelorette has at least one guy who gets the villain edit and JoJo’s season will be no different. Contestant Chad Johnson is already creating a buzz for creating drama in the Bachelor mansion and his self-absorbed attitude may not make him the guy of JoJo’s dreams.
However, he is the perfect fit for the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise;Reality Steve states that the 28-year-old real estate agent may have a shot at redeeming himself. But first, he will have to shed his villain image, one that may make BIP Season 2 star Joe Bailey look like Mr. Nice Guy.

Chad: rugged, manly, and “just like Ben”. His words, not ours.https://t.co/q0OZ0eLrS9

Steve hinted weeks ago that Chad, who served in the Marines, would be a trouble maker in the mansion. During his time on the Bachelorette, he “pretty much wanted to fight every guy.”
“He has an ego to go with the Olympic-sized body,” host Chris Harrison told Yahoo!. “There’s not going to be any gray area surrounding Chad. He is not shy about sharing his opinions, he does what he wants and he is competitive. He will definitely make some waves in the house.”
If Reality Steve and Chris Harrison’s words aren’t enough, a quick glance at Chad’s official ABC bio will convince fans that his ego may be better served (or tamed) in Paradise than on the Bachelorette. Is he confident or cocky? You decide.
- What is your greatest achievement to date? “Being born good looking.”
- If you could be someone else for just one day, who would it be and why? “Myself in 10 years, alright, alright, alright.”
- If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be and why? “Myself in 10 years, alright, alright, alright.”
- Who do you admire most in the world and why? “Myself in 10 years, alright, alright, alright.”
Spoilers indicate that Chad isn’t one of JoJo’s final four guys who made it to hometown dates, but he did make himself known during his stay at the mansion, with Reality Steve stating that Chad acts like he is “God’s gift to the world” and should go check himself into Paradise right away to begin his “character redemption — we know it’s coming.”
Although fans won’t know for sure who is heading to Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 until closer to the August 2 premiere, Steve is confident that Chad and several other guys from JoJo’s season of the Bachelorette will be part of the cast of ABC’s summer reality series.
According to a previous report from the Inquisitr, a number of ladies from Ben Higgins’ season of the Bachelor are also pegged to be part of this year’s Paradise cast and they may already be mingling with JoJo’s castoffs.
When the cast bios were released last Thursday, Steve tweeted that “Ben’s girls are contacting JoJo’s guys to set up their showmances for Paradise — or vice versa.” That could play into their storyline, especially if they get to know each other before filming starts like Samantha Steffen did with Nick Peterson and Joe Bailey last season.
Filming for JoJo’s season of the Bachelorette wrapped up last week, so fans can expect the Bachelor in Paradise cast spoilers to start leaking out soon, including a confirmation as to whether or not Chad Johnson will head to Paradise and continue to play the villain like former contestants Jesse Kovacs or Joe Bailey did, or successfully shed his villain image like JJ Lane.
The two-hour season premiere of the Bachelorette begins at 9 p.m. ET on May 23, followed the Bachelor in Paradise premiere on August 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
