Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Pregnant With A Baby Girl? How He Told Miranda Lambert He Is Going To Be A Dad
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are reportedly getting set for the birth of their first baby together. Although the two had planned on getting married in the near future, the wedding has apparently been put on hold while they gear up for their new addition. How did Shelton break the baby news to his ex-wife Miranda Lambert?
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Stefani is already a few months along in the pregnancy. The baby is expected at some point in October, which coincides with Stefani’s birthday. Shelton and Stefani have been juggling their time between his ranch in Oklahoma and her home in Los Angeles. After the baby is born, however, the two have decided to make a permanent move to Oklahoma.
“They’ve agreed that Oklahoma is an amazing place to bring up children,” an inside source revealed.
Of course, a move to Oklahoma is more complicated than at first glance, especially for Stefani. If Stefani makes the move out of California, then she will have to work out a new custody arrangement with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. While Stefani and Rossdale deal with a possible move out of state, Shelton has reportedly broken the baby news to ex-wife Miranda Lambert.
The reason Shelton chose to inform Lambert about the news was to avoid her finding out via a secondary source. The two have officially cut all ties with each other, but Shelton felt she deserved to hear the news from him. This is certainly understandable, especially considering how Shelton and Lambert were married for some five years before announcing their divorce this past summer.
Meanwhile, the reports of a pregnancy surprised many fans. According to Hollywood Life, however, Stefani and Shelton were not actively avoiding pregnancy. Instead, they both figured that their time for having children had long passed and therefore did not take appropriate measures to stop a pregnancy.
“Supposedly they weren’t doing anything to prevent a pregnancy,” a source explained. “It was something they’d both welcome, but they assumed that ship had sailed.”
Having a child has been a dream of Shelton’s for quite some time. In fact, he has already bonded well with Stefani’s current children, Kingston, Apollo, and Zuma. With a new baby on the way, Shelton’s relationship with Stefani appears better than ever. Unfortunately, the pregnancy does mean a delay in the wedding plans.
“They were already like a couple of giddy teens,” the insider continued. “Now, they’re even deeper in love.”
Fans got a chance to see their chemistry when Shelton and Stefani performed their new song together, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” The duo took the stage on the latest episode of The Voice, and their performance was met will a lot of praise.
Their newest track will appear on Blake Shelton’s album, which is set to drop later this month. Along with his collaboration with Stefani, the new album features a number of songs that provide insight into Shelton’s personal life, including his break-up with Lambert and his relationship with Stefani.
At the same time, E! Online is reporting that Shelton and Stefani recently went on a double date with Adam Levine and his pregnant wife, Behati Prinsloo. Although it is not known where the foursome went, they did stop to take an adorable selfie together that eventually made its way to Instagram.
While the reports of a coming baby are exciting for many fans, neither Shelton nor Stefani have made an official announcement. Considering how open they are about their relationship, it will only be a matter of time before the two either confirm or deny the reports.
