Katy Perry Seeking Comfort With Robert Pattinson Over Orlando Bloom And Selena Gomez Hook-Up Rumors?
While rumors abound that Orlando Bloom hooked up with Selena Gomez, his girlfriend, Katy Perry, reached out to her old friend Robert Pattinson for comfort. Considering all the rumors surrounding Bloom and Gomez, Perry definitely needs all the support she can get through this difficult time.
An insider revealed to Hollywood Life that Pattinson was more than willing to offer Perry the support she needed.
“Katy reached out to Rob, and he’s been giving her a ton of support,” an insider shared. “They spent quite a bit of time together at the Met Gala and Rob knew how much Orlando meant to Katy. He basically just let Katy know that he’s there for her anytime she needs to talk.”
According to Us Weekly, rumors about Bloom and Gomez surfaced after the pair were spotted together at a nightclub in Las Vegas. The two were later seen leaving the venue together, which sparked further rumors that Orlando cheated on Katy.
“Nothing happened,” the source explained. “It was totally nothing and harmless with Selena. He was in town and came to say hi to their manager. That night, they all left in the same car with their manager, got hamburgers and then each went home separately.”
Perry has been with Bloom for only a few months. The two first met during a party following the Golden Globe Awards this past January. Ever since their first meeting, the two stars have reportedly been great together.
Perry was previously married to Russel Brand but moved on after their split in 2011 to date John Mayer. Bloom, meanwhile, has one child with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.
As far as Pattinson is concerned, he has a long history of friendship with Katy Perry. Furthermore, he has experience in the cheating department. Pattinson broke up with Kristen Stewart after he discovered her affair with Rupert Sanders.
“When Rob and Kristen split up, Katy was without a doubt Rob’s rock,” the source continued. “They have always remained close friends regardless of distance or their busy schedules.”
That being said, there is still no official word on whether or not Perry has ended things with Bloom.
The Daily Mail, meanwhile, has released photographs of Perry during a recent public outing. Based on her somber demeanor, it appears as though Perry was thinking hard about something and not her usual happy self.
The award-winning singer was spotted in a black and white tracksuit during the outing. She kept hidden under a baseball cap and remained focus with a pair of headphones blocking out all sounds.
Later, Perry posted a message to try and divert attention away from the rumors.
“Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy. Check out how [cool] this is,” she wrote on Twitter, followed by a link to an article about her boyfriend’s charity in Ukraine.
For her part, Gomez appeared to back up Perry’s assertion that nothing happened between her and Bloom. In a message on Twitter, Gomez shared, “#killemwithkindness – one day they’ll get it lol.”
Based on the social media interactions between Gomez and Perry, it appears as though Gomez’s relationship with Bloom is strictly in the friend zone. Whether or not Perry and Bloom can withstand all the rumors surrounding their relationship is yet to be seen.
