Kylie Jenner, Tyga Split: Who Gets To Keep The $320K Ferrari After Breakup?
News that Kylie Jenner and Tyga have split has car enthusiasts asking one question: Who gets to keep the Ferrari Tyga gifted to Kylie for her 18th birthday?
Back in August, when Kylie Jenner turned 18, her then-boyfriend made headlines after he gave her an extravagant and over-the-top present: a white Ferrari worth more than $320,000.
Because of the circumstances surrounding the gift, the vehicle caused quite the stir at the time it was presented. Before Tyga gifted Kylie with the Ferrari, rumor had it that he had given Jenner a different vehicle: a Mercedes G-Wagon which had previously been driven by Tyga’s ex, Blac Chyna. So, when Tyga showed up to Kylie’s birthday party with the white sports car, fans flipped, believing that Kylie’s rapper boyfriend had given her two expensive vehicles for her birthday.
Subsequent reports indicated that the G-Wagon wasn’t actually a gift, but the SUV tells us something about Tyga’s gifting habits. Blac Chyna is the mother of his child, but she still returned the G-Wagon to her ex when they split. Will Kylie, who has no children with Tyga, return the luxurious sports car, as well?

If Hollywood Life is to be believed, Tyga doesn’t want her to give the car back. In fact, he’s hoping that the Ferrari will help him stay connected to Kylie and the entire Kardashian-Jenner family, the media outlet reported.
“Tyga has doubts it’s really over between him and Kylie and that’s why he is letting her hold onto the Ferrari. The hardest part of breaking up is getting back your stuff and right now Kylie and Tyga are struggling with all the things they have acquired together. Tyga wants to keep his foot in the door with Kylie and the best way he can do that is by maintaining a connection any way he can. Even if that means continuing to pay for the luxury car he leased for her despite it being beyond his budget.”
The unnamed source for Hollywood Life went on to say that Tyga isn’t overly concerned about most of the things he’s left at Ky’s house, but he is concerned about the car.
“The small stuff has been easy to deal with. Tyga is not worried about the clothes, shoes and random hats he has left at Kylie’s. What he is worried about is whether or not she will try to return or give back the Italian sports car he gave her last summer for her 18th birthday.”
Reports indicate that Kylie and Tyga broke up “earlier this month.” The pair were last spotted together at The Met Gala on May 2, where they hung out with Kylie’s older sister, Kim Kardashian, and Kim’s husband, Kanye West.
Us Weekly reported that “Kylie and Tyga are not speaking right now.” The insider went on to say that this isn’t the first time this has happened.
“They fight and get back together all in the same day constantly, so last week she didn’t want to say it was a breakup as that’s how it always is. We’ve been down this road before.”
Kylie and Tyga most recently split publicly on the rapper’s 26th birthday in November. The breakup was noted after Kylie failed to show up for Tyga’s birthday party. At the time, Jenner deleted nearly all the photos of Tyga from her Instagram account, but within days she Snapchatted a photo of the pair together again.
The on-again off-again relationship between Kylie and Tyga has allegedly lasted for nearly 2 years, though the couple only went public with their relationship after Kylie turned 18 in August.
