John Legend Responds To Mommy-Shaming And Attacks On Chrissy Teigen
John Legend is proving that he is even more legendary than even his fans thought because Legend is not only standing up for his wife, Chrissy Teigen, but he is also taking a stand on the topic of mommy-shamers and asking why dads don’t carry any burden for shame. Until now, Legend has largely ignored the social media attention, but he has come forward with some thoughts for those who want to throw shade at his wife and the way they are parenting baby Luna Simone.
According to the Inquisitr, Chrissy Teigen has taken on many haters online who seem envious of her lifestyle and her ability to bounce back after having her first baby. Teigen, and not Legend, was criticized for going out to dinner sans baby a week after Luna Simone was born.
Funny there's no dad-shaming. When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn't have to take it all. We'll split it.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Desi Lydic on the Daily Show stood up for both John Legend and Chrissy Teigen while talking about mommy-shaming, getting the thumbs up from Legend. Lydic did a bit, calling out the trolls that criticized Chrissy Teigen and not John Legend for leaving the baby with a nanny while the couple went to dinner.
“You’re worried about the quality of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s child care? It’s not like they’re getting their nanny off Craigslist. They’re rich celebrities. They could get Mary Poppins to watch their baby, as in literally call Julie Andrews, get her to come out of retirement to babysit in character as Mary Poppins.”

John Legend clearly approved, as he tweeted a link to the Lydic clip with a note of his own on the couple’s child care for Luna Simone.
“FYI, we only have Mary Poppins on weekends.”
Legend also questioned why people only shame Chrissy Teigen for leaving home without Luna Simone when Legend leaves the house regularly sans baby.
“When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn’t have to take it all,” he said. “We’ll split it.”

The Huffington Post says that John Legend has reached peak #husbandgoals with his take on mommy-shamers. Legend is puzzled as to why Chrissy Teigen brings out the critical green-eyed monster in so many people, as if she is the first woman to hire a nanny.
The attacks on Teigen started when she was open and honest with the couple’s infertility struggles and that she was undergoing IVF treatments. When she went public with her plan, along with John Legend, to select the sex of their baby, that seems to have made people crazy, sharing all sorts of strange opinions via social media.

When Teigen shared photos of her first dinner out with husband John Legend approximately a week after the birth of Luna Simone, social media went crazy with people suggesting that Teigen (again, and not Legend) had abandoned her baby, and that she wanted to return to her party lifestyle. Teigen responded tongue firmly in cheek after her dinner out via Twitter.
“I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!”
When another fan asked how Luna Simone was doing, Teigen responded that she didn’t know, she couldn’t find her. After all the hype about Teigen’s parenting, John Legend made it clear that just like he is responsible for half of Luna Simone’s genetic makeup, he is also half responsible for parenting decisions. Legend is now a hero to women everywhere.
Do you think people have the right to criticize the parenting decisions of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, and is it fair that only Teigen gets called out? Do you think that John Legend has a point?
