Courteney Cox And Johnny McDaid Are Back Together: Is The Engagement Back On?
Are Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid back together again? Looks like they are. The two broke off their engagement of December of 2015, but as the Inquisitr reported, the two were seen out and about looking like a family this past Easter.
When photos of the blended family surfaced around the holiday, Courteney’s rep got ahead of the news by stating, “They really care about each other and they are spending time together.”
So, does this mean that the engagement is back on? We don’t exactly know, but it looks like it is. The two made their reconciliation official by stepping out to a red carpet event at the BMI Pop Awards the other night. The two looked incredibly happy, and the Snow Patrol musician opened up on his feelings for Courteney Cox.
According to E! McDaid gushed about Cox while on the red carpet. “Just look at us. I love her. I’ve always loved her.”

Sounds like Courteney and Johnny are smitten with each other. Even E! wanted to know if the engagement was back on, and if anything, it seemed like it is. McDaid joked, “Let us win an award first” when he was asked if their reconciliation meant that they were engaged again.
As the Inquisitr reported, the two may have Cox’s daughter Coco to thank for the reunion. Cox’s 11-year-old daughter was upset when the couple broke up, that according to sources, she begged for Courteney to give it another shot, and it looks like that was enough to give Courteney some pause to think things over.
“Coco was gutted when her mom split from Johnny so she’s been playing Cupid ever since.”
It’s said that Coco was the one that set up the Easter meet between McDaid and Cox in an effort to get them to “talk things out.” During the meet up, the two realized that there is “a lot of love between them.”
It’s said that when the two announced their split, it was due to not agreeing on where to settle down, but since their reunion, Courteney has been spending more time in Ireland with McDaid. According to OK Magazine, things may have changed.
“A permanent move is off the table. But Courteney is willing to spend more time in Ireland to make the relationship work. At this point, she’ll bend over backward to make Johnny happy.”

Even prior to getting snapped on Easter, it was obvious that the two were heading towards some sort of reconciliation.
Back in March, Johnny McDaid admitted that he isn’t seeing anyone after his split from the Friends star. At the time, there were rumors going around that he was dating former MTV reporter Meghann Scully, but as it turned out, those were just unfounded rumors. A rep for Johnny confirmed that to HELLO!.
“Johnny isn’t dating anyone and hasn’t since Courteney Cox.”

At the time of their split, Johnny and Courteney decided to call it quits 18 months into their engagement. According to sources that spoke with TMZ, Johnny wanted to move back to the U.K. while Courteney was more comfortable in L.A. From the news that Courteney is spending more time in Ireland, it looks like she’s giving in and meeting McDaid half way in order to heal wounds. There’s no telling if the couple will split their time between U.K. and the states, but time will tell.
