Gene Simmons Says Donald Trump ‘Has Changed Politics Forever In America’: Other Celebs Weigh In
Gene Simmons, while best known for his stage performances with KISS, is a highly successful businessman with a substantial portfolio of investments. He has a net worth of over $300 million, largely due to the wise investment of his earnings with KISS. While he is most recognizable to the public in his black-and-white stage makeup, that certainly isn’t indicative of his persona in everyday life. As someone who knows from personal experience, the difference between stage performance and everyday reality, it is interesting to note that while he is not in any way endorsing Trump, Simmons believes Donald Trump is genuine in what he says.
Gene Simmons says in a recent interview with Rolling Stone that he admires the candidate’s honesty.
“He speaks off the cuff, and what you see is what you get… He has no speechwriters, no editing, no nothing.”

Donald Trump’s celebrity supporters, including Scott Baio, Stephen Baldwin, and others, have also spoken out explaining their instincts about the Donald. What do other performers think of the controversial candidate who undeniably puts on quite a show? Tila Tequila agrees with Gene Simmons in assessing Trump’s honesty. She is a supporter, according to Alternet.
“He may say a lot of things that people don’t agree with, but I think that’s what makes him trustworthy. He’s got the guts to say what he actually feels. He’s fighting for America.”
Tila Tequila vehemently argues Trump isn’t anything like Hitler, as some people are claiming. She thinks Donald is fun. To her, Donald will not only make America great again, he will reintroduce fun, something America has lost, according to Tila.
“I feel like people forgot how to have fun. I know running a country is not all about fun, but it should be. People should live with freedom, fun, and reach for your dreams.”
Gene Simmons, like Donald Trump, has a really good head for business. He too knows The Art of The Deal. Also, like Trump, his family is a very high priority. Gene too has a beautiful model and actress wife. Simmons also has two loving, brilliant, and nearly perfect children, whom he showcased in a TV show called Family Jewels, which ran on A&E for seven seasons. Trump seems to have raised very nice children as well.
Gene Simmons, perhaps unlike Donald Trump, is a completely different animal than his tongue-flicking stage persona. Many Americans, at home watching speeches and debates, are wondering if the Donald is for real or if his enactment of American dissatisfaction is just an act. Gene seems to think Donald means what he says.
“He is the truest political animal I’ve ever seen onstage…Trump is not a politician. He does not need your money, and he will speak his mind, G*d d**n it, whether you like it or not. And he has no problem saying ‘F**k off. I like that, even if I disagree.”
While Gene Simmons does not agree with Trump’s politics and makes it very clear he is not endorsing him, Simmons does believe Trump’s candidacy is good for America.
“He’s good for the political system. The middle, the centrists, they can say, ‘What do you think of this?’ because everybody is sick and tired of being politically correct. Secretly, tens of millions, perhaps 100 million people may actually have some positive feelings about a wall.”
If Donald Trump could end the trend of politically correct speech, that alone would make him a hero in the eyes of millions.
Stephen Baldwin weighed in to support Trump, according to Alternet, based on his stand against PC. He agrees with Simmons that everyone is tired of being politically correct.
“The first policy of his that I favor is this guy is gonna take a stand when it comes to the BS of the PC—the political correctness… I had a supporter of Barack Obama tell me on the air, ‘Yes, I accept Barack Obama’s lies because that’s just what you have to do now in politics to get things done.’ I don’t think Donald Trump agrees with that.”
Still, Gene Simmons, who is not a supporter, finds some of Donald’s words irritating, and he is quick to acknowledge that.
“He has said some very vile, unkind things.”
Scott Baio endorses Donald Trump even though he may not agree with everything he says. Scott also spoke out against the Republican party, according to Alternet.
“Listen, honestly, I want him to go in there, and I want him to shake it up. I can’t stand the Republicans anymore. I think they’re a waste of space and time. I don’t consider myself a Republican anymore. I consider myself a conservative independent because they’ve lied to me for so long. They’ve used me, actually, is what they’ve done.”
Gene Simmons, like many Americans, is disappointed in the president he voted for. Gene told Rolling Stone he voted for Obama and, in many ways, felt dissatisfaction with his decision. Republicans also felt that sting under G.W. Bush no doubt. Scott Baio, a longtime Republican, has called the party a waste of space. The feeling is that both parties have let the American people down, and there is therefore something wrong with the way we choose presidents based on party. Outsiders have been very popular in the 2016 election cycle. The people are demanding change.
Simmons believes Trump has made a difference in politics.
“This guy has changed politics forever in America.”
Gene Simmons sums it up by declaring that win or lose, Donald Trump has made an indelible mark on politics.
