Laurel Lance May Be Dead On ‘Arrow’ But She Is Not Gone For Good: Black Siren Comes To Screens
Arrow fans still want to know whether Laurel Lance will be resurrected like her sister Sara Lance. Stephen Amell says no, but that does not mean the character is gone for good. Fans are urged to look out for the Black Siren.
When Laurel was killed, fans started to wonder whether this was another ploy. Surely a main character like this wouldn’t been killed off permanently. Thea Queen and Sara Lance had already been brought back with the Lazarus Pit, surely there was hope for Laurel fans. When she was buried, it all looked bleak.

Amell says that Laurel is definitely not coming back. According to International Business Times, he said “no” to Larry King, and refused to delve into the character any further. He even refused to share Laurel’s last words, and says that while he knows what they are, Arrow fans will need to wait. Some believe the words will be revealed before the Arrow Season 4 finale on May 25.
That being said, Arrow fans will not have to wait too long to see Laurel. They will just have to tune into a different show. Katie Cassidy will sort of reprise her role during the Season 2 finale of The Flash. She will be featured in the Earth 2 world, as the leader of an army. Rather than being the Black Canary, she will be known as the Black Siren.
The army is full of metahumans, and this includes this doppelganger Laurel. She will have super powers, similar to her counterpart on Earth 1. It is unclear how she became a metahuman, and that may not even be mentioned in the episode. Barry Allen/The Flash will come up against the girl he knows worked with Team Arrow, and he will certainly be shaken up by it.
When Cassidy’s character was killed off in Arrow, there were mixed reviews. For many, she was a spare part that nobody really knew what to do with on the show. It made it difficult to feel like she really belonged, especially after the first couple of seasons. However, others were devastated to lose another character, especially a female character.

It did open the storyline for Paul Blackthrone’s Quentin Lance. As The Inquisitr has already reported, he refuses to believe that his daughter is really dead. He has now buried three daughters—only having the two!—and has seen one of his daughters be resurrected twice (although the first time she was just believed to be dead, and not actually dead). It is understandable that he would refuse to believe there is nothing anybody can do.
So far, the idea of the Earth 2 metahumans coming into Arrow has not been raised. It will depend on how The Flash deals with them, but if they survive the finale it does open the possibility. There is also the possibility of Barry calling Oliver Queen for help to deal with the army leader doppelganger and this Black Siren to become part of the good guys.
No Laurel and no flashbacks I almost couldnt tweet IT WAS GLORIOUS #Arrow

Flash looks to treat Laurel Lance better and with greater respect in one episode than Arrow managed in an entire season. #LaurelOnTheFlash

There are no recent hints on Cassidy’s Twitter to show whether she will be coming back to either show as a main character. She is listed as being in the Season 4 finale of Arrow on her IMDb, but that could just be in a flashback role to give away her finale words. There are no other works listed, except for a post production role in The Wolves at the Door. This does offer some hope for Arrow and The Flash fans who would like her to come back as the Black Canary or stay on as the Black Siren.
