Who Is ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Luke Pell, And How Far Does He Make It With JoJo Fletcher?
Luke Pell is one of 26 men competing for JoJo Fletcher’s heart on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. The 31-year-old Texas native will make a memorable first impression when he arrives at the Bachelor mansion on night one, but will he keep JoJo’s attention all the way to the final rose ceremony?
[Warning: Spoilers ahead]
A Texas native, Luke, 31, graduated from West Point in 2007 and served as an officer in the Army for five years after graduation. According to his personal website, Pell served overseas until 2009 and then returned to the United States to complete his final assignment as an Army Captain in El Paso, Texas, in 2011.

Towards the end of the five years he served in the military, Luke spent his free time in Nashville, where he pursued his dream of becoming a songwriter. His hard work paid off when he formed a band in 2014. Up until the time he left to film The Bachelorette in March, Luke was reportedly booking venues and playing gigs in Texas and surrounding states.
“The encouragement of his fans to pursue his musical aspirations as something more than a hobby became a reality in early 2014… less than a year into his public introduction of the band and his music, Luke is booking venues out several months in advance…”
ABC recently released a sneak peek that shows a few of JoJo’s guys exciting from the limos at the Bachelor mansion. One of the men shown is Luke Pell — he arrived on a horse. Original idea? Not really, but spoilers indicate that he impressed JoJo enough to become one of her front-runners this season.

Luke was picked for one of the early one-on-one dates (Episode 4) filmed in Pennsylvania at the end of March. Spoilers indicate that much of the filming took place at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania, but JoJo and Luke also traveled to the Palace Theater in Greensburg on March 28 for a one-on-one date at the Dan + Shay concert.

According to Reality Steve, Luke received a rose on his one-on-one in Pennsylvania and continued on to the overseas dates in Uruguay (Episode 5) and Argentina (Episodes 6 and 7).
Filming wrapped for the rose ceremony in Buenos Aires late last month, and spoilers point to Luke Pell and three other men — James Taylor, Jordan Rodgers, and Robby Hayes — making it through the rose ceremony and on to the hometown dates.

Spoilers point to Thailand as the filming location for the overnights and the final rose ceremony, but it is still not clear which three men made it to the overnight dates that were filmed last week.
Reality Steve states that the final rose ceremony will be filmed early in the week of May 9, so fans can expect to hear final rose ceremony spoilers in the coming days unless producers can keep the outcome of the show under wraps.
The Bachelorette Season 12 starring JoJo Fletcher premieres on Monday, May 23 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Starting with the second episode (May 30), the show will begin at 8 p.m. ET and continue in that time slot for the remainder of the season.
