Who Is Jordan Rodgers Of ABC’s ‘The Bachelorette’ 2016 Season With JoJo Fletcher?
Jordan Rodgers is one of the men competing on ABC’s The Bachelorette 2016 season this spring with JoJo Fletcher. People are definitely buzzing about this particular bachelor, and some have a hunch he may be receiving quite a few roses throughout his journey to find love. What do fans need to know about Jordan?
One detail about Jordan Rodgers that will definitely have Bachelorette fans talking is that he has a very famous older brother. Aaron Rodgers is the star quarterback for the Green Bay Packers and Jordan has played some football as well. Reality Steve’s spoilers note that Jordan went to Vanderbilt University and graduated in 2012 with a degree in human and organizational development.
Rodgers is 27 years old and calls Chino, California, home. As the Vanderbilt site notes, Jordan attended Butte College for a bit right after high school and then transferred to Vanderbilt for his last two years. This Bachelorette contender and former quarterback signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013 after college and was also briefly with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins. Rodgers was also with the BC Lions in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the Canadian league for a bit before leaving football last year.
Bachelorette fans surely would not have noticed it on their own, but Jordan had a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it appearance in Pitch Perfect 2 during a riff-off scene with some Green Bay Packers. Based on Rodgers’ social media posts, it seems pretty clear that this is one bachelor who has a big sense of humor and likes to have fun. Will he manage to capture JoJo Fletcher’s attention as she looks for her Mr. Right?
Based on early Bachelorette spoilers from Reality Steve, JoJo has definitely found Jordan intriguing enough to throw some roses his way. Could he snag her final rose? Fans will have to stay tuned to find out, but many have a hunch that Jordan will be around for a while. Not only would he seem to be an early contender for Fletcher’s final rose, but fans are buzzing about the fact that if he does get eliminated by JoJo, he may well be a contender to be the Bachelor lead for next season.
The big question, of course, is whether Rodgers is really looking for love. There is buzz that he is aiming to get into sportscasting now that his days as a player are done, and some would say that popping up on a prominent reality television show could be one way to try to generate some buzz. KRCR chatted with Jordan’s father, Ed Rodgers, once the word got out about his joining the show and said that his son doesn’t necessarily have any trouble meeting ladies. He joined The Bachelorette more for the adventure, it seems, which is a common reason for many contestants.
Snagging Rodgers to be one of the contenders on JoJo’s season may well remind Bachelorette fans of another recent contestant. As many remember, Josh Murray garnered plenty of attention when he was on Andi Dorfman’s season a while back. Josh played sports himself, though his shot at the pros came on the baseball diamond rather than the football field. However, Josh’s younger brother Aaron is a quarterback with the Kansas City Chiefs, and many figured that if Josh didn’t earn Andi’s final rose, he likely could have gone on to lead a Bachelor season himself. Andi and Josh did get engaged during that season, but they split a few months later.
Could Jordan Rodgers be the one to snag JoJo Fletcher’s final rose this spring, or could he end up being a frontrunner to become the next Bachelor lead? ABC’s The Bachelorette 2016 season debuts on Monday, May 23, and there is a lot of buzz floating around already that this could wind up looking like the “JoJo and Jordan” show, though there may well be shockers, twists, and turns on the way as the journey plays out.
