‘The Vampire Diaries’: Caroline’s Plan To Save Bonnie From Becoming Rayna 2.0
The Vampire Diaries is barreling toward the end of Season 7, but has not run out of gripping storylines and twisted tales. Currently, the characters are working to save Bonnie Bennett. Could Caroline Forbes’ friendship help undo the damage before it is too late?
The second half of The Vampire Diaries Season 7 has been focused on saving Bonnie. Everyone was determined to find a way, but the TVD character was at peace with dying. Bonnie told Enzo that she wanted to spend her last moments with him by her side.

However, Damon would not stop until he found a way to save his best friend. He thought that making a deal with the devil was the ticket to giving Bonnie another chance at life. Bonnie is alive, so that part of the deal was honored. What the Salvatore brother did not expect was one tiny detail that was not mentioned: Bonnie would be given Rayna’s last life and the vampire huntress curse.
What can fans expect with Bonnie’s storyline on the next episode of TVD? There will be a lot of drama, chaos and action, that’s for sure. The press release for The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 21 reveals everyone’s lives are in danger.

“When Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) risky attempt to save Bonnie (Kat Graham) takes an unexpected turn, the consequences of his actions forces everyone to band together to help her pull through,” The Vampire Diaries Fans wrote regarding Season 7, Episode 21. “Meanwhile, when a new threat leaves Caroline’s (Candice King) life in jeopardy, Stefan (Paul Wesley) makes a rash decision that ultimately forces them to face the fallout from their relationship. Elsewhere, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) tries to hold it together as he painfully watches Bonnie in the fight of her life, while Matt (Zach Roerig) takes matters into his own hands to save one of his closest friends.”
Even though some fans of The Vampire Diaries suggest Bonnie is now a villain, Kat Graham disagrees. In an interview with TV Line, the actress believes that Bonnie is justified and is not evil.
Her feelings toward Damon are understandable. She is already angry at the Salvatore brother for his previous decision in The Vampire Diaries. Now Damon decided once again to do something extreme without consulting her. TVD fans know how Bonnie feels about people making decisions for her, especially when it comes to her life. Bonnie already has a lot of anger brewing and has an intense personality. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, these two factors, along with the vampire huntress curse, could make Bonnie even more dangerous than Rayna Cruz.
So, how will the TVD characters save Bonnie Bennett? Spoiler TV published a producer’s preview of The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 21. Titled “Requiem For A Dream,” the video clip teases that Caroline might have an idea.
Caroline was friends with Bonnie before becoming a vampire. The TVD character believes the long-standing friendship can break through the vampire huntress curse. While that is logical in theory, will it actually work? Based on the synopsis for The Vampire Diaries Season 7 finale, it will be another failed attempt to save Bonnie.
“Despite their best efforts to help Bonnie through the harrowing predicament she now faces, Damon, Enzo and Caroline realize their options are running out and drastic measures need to be taken,” The Vampire Diaries Season 7 finale synopsis states, according to TV After Dark. “With their only chance of saving their friend lying inside the Armory, Stefan breaks the news to Caroline that they may need help from an unlikely source – her and Alaric’s twin daughters. Elsewhere, Enzo keeps Bonnie preoccupied by bringing her back to their cabin but when his plan takes an unexpected turn, it’ll be up to Damon to make the ultimate sacrifice to save his closest friends.”
What do you think is going to happen with Caroline and Bonnie in The Vampire Diaries? Season 7, Episode 21 airs on May 6 on The CW network.
