‘The Vampire Diaries’: Kat Graham Says Bonnie Is Justified In Huntress Storyline
The Vampire Diaries delivered a shock to fans. Damon Salvatore’s attempt to save Bonnie Bennett had a cruel twist. Kat Graham’s character is the new vampire huntress, and she is out for blood. At least Bonnie will be – when she wakes up. A lot of TVD fans are worried that Bonnie’s character will not exit The CW series in a manner that Graham deserves. Recently, the actress spoke up about her character and becoming the vampire huntress, saying that Bonnie has not turned evil.
Some TVD fans consider Bonnie a new villain The Vampire Diaries. This is based on the extended promo for Season 7, Episode 21. Spoilers Guide posted the video clip, which features Kat Graham’s character getting close to ending Damon Salvatore’s life. She also taunts Caroline Forbes over the phone.
Despite how bad the promo for Season 7, Episode 21 makes Bonnie look, The Vampire Diaries actress defends the storyline. Kat says that Bonnie has not turned evil, but she is justified.

“I’ve always felt that Bonnie was a hero, and what could be seen as an antihero, to a lot of characters in the show,” Kat Graham told TV Line regarding Bonnie’s vampire huntress storyline. “She is never lukewarm, and whenever she is placed in the middle, I’ve always found discomfort in justifying her decisions for that.”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Bonnie Bennett has always been intense. Adding the vampire huntress curse to Bonnie’s strong personality could make her even more dangerous than Rayna Cruz (Leslie-Anne Huff).
It was recently revealed via TV Line that there will be a lot of fallout resulting from Bonnie’s actions. The Vampire Diaries executive producer teased what to expect.
“The rest of the season is a race to save Bonnie, and all of the fallout that comes along with that,” Julie Plec said about Kat Graham’s character. “It puts everyone in grave danger, and not everyone survives it… at least emotionally.”
This doesn’t mean that Bonnie’s friends will run from the new vampire huntress. In a new sneak peek for The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 21, it turns out that one of the Salvatore brothers has an idea. Surprisingly, it is not Damon with the crazy plan, but Stefan.
While talking on the phone, Stefan is drinking at a bar. The younger Salvatore brother admits he isn’t looking forward to Bonnie waking up. As TVD fans know, once Graham’s character awakens, she will be only focused on one thing: killing vampires everywhere, starting with her best friends. This is when the conversation becomes interesting. Damon says he is out of ideas, but Stefan reveals he may have a plan to save the day.
The synopsis for The Vampire Diaries episode, titled “Requiem For A Dream,” gives additional information on what to expect.
“When Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) risky attempt to save Bonnie (Kat Graham) takes an unexpected turn, the consequences of his actions forces everyone to band together to help her pull through,” FutonCritic teased in the synopsis for the next episode of TVD. “Meanwhile, when a new threat leaves Caroline’s (Candice King) life in jeopardy, Stefan (Paul Wesley) makes a rash decision that ultimately forces them to face the fallout from their relationship. Elsewhere, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) tries to hold it together as he painfully watches Bonnie in the fight of her life, while Matt (Zach Roerig) takes matters into his own hands to save one of his closest friends.”
