“You are my masterpieces. From the day I saw the most precious eyes, I believed in miracles to the core,” Spears opened the piece, which was published as part of Time‘s “Letters From Mom” feature in the lead up to Mother’s Day on May 8.

“Such a gift God has given me, exploring in your beautiful worlds every day. I pray as a mother I teach you strength and passion to carry through the struggles in the world,” Britney continued. “Most battles will always be won on your knees. I pray you find your dreams.”

Spears stunning poem also featured a running theme of spirituality, in which she encouraged Sean and Jayden to have a close relationship with God.

“God always comes to us in tiny whispers. I pray you always find his whisper and understand the true meaning behind following your inner voice as well,” Britney Spears wrote to her two sons.

“Always believe in yourself and know anything is possible. I pray dreaming awakens your soul to limitless possibilities,” Spears continued. “I hope the most precious mysteries of life stay with you always and you are never ashamed of how bright your light truly is. I hope you learn praying alone is when you are most connected to God, and know you are never alone. He is with you always.”

Britney Spears then signed off her beautiful Time piece with the touching message, “I pray you laugh, love and soar through your journey of life.”

Spears has been increasingly open about her life as a mom in recent years, most recently admitting to People magazine during a cover shoot with her two children than her two kids always come first in her life.

“My kids come first in my life, bottom line,” Britney told the magazine last year, who reported that despite keeping busy with her Las Vegas residency shows and gearing up for the release of her upcoming ninth studio album, Spears’ is a very “hands on mom” and attends her kids’ soccer games and helps them with their homework.

“Homework is a priority,” Spears told People in April, 2015, revealing that she set up an award system to ensure her two boys excel in their school life. “We have a reward system that helps motivate them: if they get so many As, they get one toy a month,” Britney said.

In the same interview, Britney also got seriously personal about her two boys for the first time, admitting that the two, who were born in 2005 and 2006, have grown into “little men.”

“Preston is very opinionated, very expressive, and if he doesn’t like something, he’s going to tell you,” Britney said, admitting that her eldest son “has a huge heart, he’s a good kid and he has manners.”

As for Sean’s little brother, Britney confessed that “Jayden is sweet, very soft-spoken, kinda funny” and an “adorable momma’s boy.”

Britney also spoke out about her life as a mom in an interview with Vegas magazine in January, 2014, where she revealed that she’s “a mom all the way.”

“When I’m being a mom, I’m mom all the way,” Spears said at the time. “I’m worried all the time, and always thinking about what we should be doing and should not be doing.”
