Sunny: Girls’ Generation’s ‘Aegyo Queen’ Shows Off Sexy Summer Style In Bali For ‘SURE’
For almost a decade, Sunny of Girls’ Generation has shown millions of K-pop fans, especially Sones (Girls’ Generation fans) and Sunshiners (Sunny’s fans) just how cute she can be. Given the moniker of Girls’ Generation’s “Queen of Aegyo,” in which aegyo is Korean for a cute display of affection often expressed through a cute or baby voice, facial expressions, and gestures, Sunny has shown such through her numerous appearances on variety shows or alongside her fellow Girls’ Generation members during group activities.
Because of Sunny often showing her aegyo off, she is constantly considered cute and adorable, often confused to be Girls’ Generation’s maknae (the youngest) since it is usually the youngest member responsible for aegyo. With that in mind, it is surprising whenever Sunny shows off her sexy side, especially in more revealing outfits. As a matter of fact, it is possible the first time K-pop fans seen Sunny flaunt in a sexy outfit was in the Girls’ Generation music video “PARTY.”
Now, K-pop fans are getting another dose of Sunny’s sexiness. Recently, Sunny posed in sexy summer styles. Some of the poses show off just how desirable she can be, especially in the swimsuit shots.
Lee Soon Kyu, better known by her stage name Sunny, took some time off away from work in Girls’ Generation. For her vacation, she flew down to Bali, Indonesia, to enjoy the summer sun. However, not everything she did was for pleasure. According to AllKpop, Sunny also posed for a magazine shoot for SURE. In the shoot itself, Sunny can be seen striking numerous poses along a poolside, wearing makeup styles from the Heynature brand.

In one set, Sunny wore a red bikini while in another, she wore a black halter neck top. Finally in her third set, Sunny wore a striped shirt with a flower wreath on her head. As for Sunny’s professionalism, staff members who were on set hint that she was easy to work with. One of the details that show Sunny favor is they agree she managed to complete all underwater shoots without hesitation, as reported by Kpop Herald.
Ultimately, the photo shoot was a breeze for Sunny as the whole experience in Bali, Indonesia was leisurely. Sunny even provided a statement on her experience altogether.
“I’m finding a lot of leisure without a lot of the usually tight, day to day schedules, save for this photoshoot. I usually sleep a lot, but don’t get many chances to just let myself go like that. After the shoot today, I immediately fell asleep while getting a massage at the resort. I must feel so comfortable and at ease, here in Bali.”
Presently, Girls’ Generation is currently on their Girls’ Generation’s Phantasia tour. The majority of their tour took place in South Korea and Japan in 2015, but they are adding more shows throughout 2016. So far, they had two shows on January 30 and 31 in Bangkok, Thailand and one show on April 16 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Two more show will take place in Taipei, Taiwan on May 7 and 8.
Also, individual members of Girls’ Generation are working on their solo careers. Sooyoung will be playing the female lead in upcoming K-drama 38 Police Squad, Yoona will play the lead in Chinese drama God of War, Zhao Yun. Yuri will also play a lead in Gogh, The Starry Night. Finally, Tiffany will soon release her debut album for her solo career.
