David Hasselhoff Engaged To Girlfriend Hayley Roberts
David Hasselhoff, 63, is officially engaged to girlfriend Hayley Roberts, 36. According to Page Six, this engagement is recent, and Hasselhoff’s rep decided to confirm the news.
In news you don’t hear everyday from celebrity engagements, David Hasselhoff actually let Hello! Magazine in on the proposal. Of the decision to propose to Haley Roberts, the Baywatch actor said to the magazine, “I had a saying, ‘You don’t get married because you want to live with someone, you get married because you can’t live without them.’ I felt that way.”
Hasselhoff continued, “I knew that I was really unhappy without her. I waited to propose because I thought I was too old for her.” As it turns out, this isn’t the first time he popped the question to his girlfriend. Hasselhoff explained to Hello! “I’ve asked her to marry me before but those times were for fun. This time, it was special and from my heart.”

The couple with the large age gap met five years ago while Hasselhoff was working on Britain’s Got Talent as a judge on the show.
Roberts spoke to the Sun about how meeting David Hasselhoff has officially changed her life. Prior to becoming engaged to the star, she was a shopgirl in Wales. Roberts said of falling in love with Hasselhoff:
“He has completely changed my life. I couldn’t have dreamt this up. And all because I asked him to pose for a picture with my sister and me and we ended up falling in love.”
According to Roberts, she was having a drink with her newlywed sister, Natasha, at a hotel in Cardiff when she spotted the Baywatch star entering the lobby. As it turns out, Hasselhoff was in town for Britain’s Got Talent. “Everyone was asking him for pictures, so we did too. He smiled and asked if I had a boyfriend. When I said no he said he’d swap a picture for my number. I laughed and gave it to him but didn’t expect anything to come of it.”

She continued to explain the encounter with Hasselhoff.
“We sat chatting for about an hour and I was blown away by what a nice guy he was. By the time he left we’d made plans to meet up again the following evening.”
The two shared a meal with Roberts’ sister and her husband the next night. When everyone said goodbye, Roberts said that’s when things turned up a few notches. “A couple of minutes later I got text saying how he thought I was beautiful and that he wanted to see me again. It was so sweet. He was such a gentleman.”
Although things are really looking up for “The Hoff,” he’s still going through some financial troubles. As the Inquisitr reported, David is in an alimony battle with his ex-wife.
Hasselhoff wants his alimony to ex-wife Pamela Beach to be significantly reduced so he can retire. The two were divorced in 2006, and since then Hasselhoff has paid a whopping $2.3 million to his ex after being married for 17 years. He’s currently paying $21,000 a month, and because of this The Hoff has said that it’s made it near impossible to retire.
In a statement, David said the following.
“I am 63 years of age, and am at an age when I should be preparing for retirement and not having to continue working in order to pay [Bach’s] support.”
He went on to describe Pamela as “an attractive woman in excellent physical health,” which basically asserts that she can make a living and doesn’t need to depend on his monthly alimony. Additionally, Hasselhoff has his own share of living expenses that are high, as well. He supports his daughters Taylor Ann and Hayley, who currently live with him.
