Former Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle Sends Letter From Prison To Former Mistress
It seems that former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle might have figured out that there is nothing private when it comes to prisons, but that hasn’t stopped him from sending and receiving personal notes while in prison. A woman who claims to have had a relationship with Fogle says she began writing the former Subway pitchman letters after he started serving his sentence for child molestation, because she “felt sorry for him.”
According to the Inquisitr, Jared Fogle, who is going to spend almost the next two decades in prison, was given the job of working in the cafeteria, serving food. This job, considered one of the better prison jobs, created even more resentment against Fogle than already existed. Child molesters are considered the lowest of the low, even in prison, and Fogle has become a target of those looking for a fight inside.

The Daily Mail says that Jared Fogle seems very defensive in his letters to his former mistress, explaining that his employee, Russell Taylor, was really to blame for the crimes committed against the underaged victims. Fogle admits that he made a few mistakes, but he believes that he is being punished harshly. Fogle claims that the media has made him sound like a monster, but he isn’t.
Fogle heavily flirts with the woman throughout the letters, and begs her to keep writing to him. The letters are full of exclamation points and smiley faces, while downplaying the things he did to his child victims.

The woman, who claims she wrote to Fogle because she says she felt sorry for him, says that Fogle used their letters as a way to vent.
“It has been a very hard nine months for me. I made a couple of mistakes but nothing like the media reports have said. They are making me into some sort of monster which is absolutely not true. I’m currently appealing my prison sentence and am hoping for the best with it.”
Fogle suggests that his employee Russell Taylor was the guilty one, and that he is in prison because Taylor threw him under the bus. Throughout the letter, Fogle keeps flirting with the woman, telling her how hot she looks, and thanking her for the photos that she sent him.

In Touch Weekly said that throughout the letter, Jared Fogle continues to downplay the seriousness of the crimes he has committed. Fogle still can’t seem to admit, even to himself, that he is the one who committed these heinous crimes against children, and psychologist Julie Armstrong says that the letters are proof that Fogle is still in denial.
“He’s kicking back into a denial mode. He’s denying how serious this is. This is backtracking. He’s trying to avoid and escape the blame that he’s already admitted to, trying to divert the attention and put the blame on other people. Yet we have evidence — his confession — that he did it!”

Fogle also asks that woman who sent him the photos to please send him some more, because “she is so hot.” Fogle claims that he needs her in his life, and that he has thought of her many times over the years. Fogle lets her know that he has email privileges, and would like to continue corresponding with her. Fogle asks her to please write back as soon as she receives his letter, and signs with an “xoxoxo.”
Do you think that Jared Fogle really believes that he did nothing wrong?
