Arsenio Hall Accused Of Giving Prince Deadly Drugs By Sinead O’Connor In Bizarre Rant
If Sinead O’Connor can be believed, Arsenio Hall is someone the authorities should be looking at during their investigation into legendary rock singer Prince’s death. Arsenio Hall was implicated by O’Connor in what can only be described as a rant on the Irish singer’s Facebook page. The real question at this point is, of course, just how much of what O’Connor said should be taken seriously. Should the authorities look into Hall based on the claims? They probably won’t, but one has to wonder if the claims against Hall have a grain of truth or whether they can be entirely dismissed.
The situation implicating Arsenio Hall came about on Monday when the “Nothing Compares 2 You” singer posted the since removed comments on her Facebook page. She claimed Hall and Prince have long been doing drugs together. She went on to talk about the former talk show host once dosing her during a party at Eddie Murphy’s house. The rambling post is nothing new for the singer, who has openly battled some mental disorders over the last few years.“Two words for the DEA investigating where Prince got his drugs over the decades, Arsenio Hall… Anyone imagining Prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land, Arsenio I’ve reported you to the Carver County Sheriff’s office. Expect their call. They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie Murphy’s house. You best get tidying your man cave.”
Radar Online reached out to both O’Connor and the Carver County sheriff‘s office in order to see how much it could back up about the claims regarding Arsenio Hall. The online publication stated they haven’t heard anything back from either source. Hall is far from the only public figure O’Connor has taken to task on social media in the last few years. In 2013, she wrote at least four open letters lambasting Miley Cyrus. In the fall of 2015, she didn’t go after any celebrities the way she has Hall this week, but she did post a rather troubling post threatening suicide.
The recent posts attacking Arsenio Hall are more interesting because O’Connor and Prince have not exactly been close friends. Yahoo Music reported that during a 2014 interview with the website, Sinead was specifically asked what her feelings about Prince were. At the time, she responded she didn’t think anything of him, and he wasn’t part of her psyche. It appears the “Purple Rain” singer is officially part of the Irish crooner’s psyche these days.
For his part, Arsenio Hall’s camp said the allegations that he was the person who provided Prince the drugs that eventually killed him were “absolutely false, ridiculous and absurd,” according to Radar Online. Hall did talk earlier this week about the loss of the legendary rockster. Hall spoke to Access Hollywood and told them he knew there was quite a bit of pain when it came to Prince’s hip. There was also some talk the cane Prince used was just for show, originally, but there appeared to be some degeneration there. At the same time, no one wanted to ask Prince if there might be something wrong. The talk show veteran said there weren’t a ton of people who had a close relationship with him where that kind of question would be OK. At the same time, Hall said he felt the singer’s loss and was going to be playing Prince’s music a lot over the next couple of weeks. It’s still too early to see what is to become of Sinead O’Connor’s accusations about Arsenio Hall, but it’s clear he isn’t taking them seriously at this point.[Photo by Frederick M.
