The Walking Dead Season 7 is slowly inching closer, and fans are hearing all kinds of rumors and spoilers about the upcoming season. However, viewers still don’t know who Negan killed, and while nothing has been confirmed, rumors reveal that Norman Reedus may have had a hand in picking the victim.
According to the Parent Herald , Norman Reedus, who plays fan-favorite character Daryl Dixon, on the show has allegedly been demanding for screen time for his character as well as his friend Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character, Negan. This means that Norman may have pushed for the character of Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, to be killed off in the Season 6 finale.
While Glenn is the character who dies at the hands of Negan in the Walking Dead comic book series, the TV show is known for switching up character deaths, meaning that anyone in the group could have had their head bashed in by Negan’s bat, and Reedus allegedly didn’t want it to be Daryl.
“Norman is the fan favorite, and he’s using that to his advantage with the writers. He was instrumental in getting Jeffrey added to the show, and he wants next season to center around their characters — and if that means zombies kill off Rick [Andrew Lincoln] or Glenn [Stephen Yeun], so be it.”
While it is true that Norman Reedus’ character, Daryl, is arguably the most popular on the show, it seems strange that the actor would lobby for one of his co-stars to be killed off for his own personal gain. Many fans aren’t buying the rumors that Norman was pushing Walking Dead producers to kill off Glenn, or even Rick, as he’s very close with his fellow co-stars.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Norman Reedus’ rep spoke out on the wild rumors , claiming that they were completely untrue and that Norman absolutely loves filming with Steven Yeun, Andrew Lincoln, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and the rest of the cast.
“This story is complete nonsense. Norman has absolutely nothing to do with the casting or storylines on the show. He has strong friendships with Andrew, Steven and Jeffrey, and is thrilled to work with them all as much as humanly possible.”
Meanwhile, things still aren’t looking great for Glenn. All signs seem to be pointing to the character being Negan’s unlucky victim. Although nothing has been confirmed, fan theories about the placement of props in the death scene seem to show that it is Glenn who died in the Walking Dead Season 6 finale.
Actor Steven Yeun has also taken on a new project, a sci-fi movie titled Okja , which has already begun filming in other countries. With Walking Dead Season 7 filming beginning this week, all eyes will be in Georgia to see if Steven makes any appearances on the set. If he’s missing, it could confirm his character’s death.
However, one on-set source is allegedly revealing that it wasn’t Glenn who met Negan’s bat, Lucille, but that it was Abraham. Abraham has become a big part of the show, and fans have really grown to like him and his hilarious one-liners.
Abraham had a very emotional episode in the Season 6 finale, which led many viewers to believe he’d be the one to bite the dust , and they may be correct. The source claims that because Abraham is the biggest member of the group, Negan chose him to send a clear message to Rick and everyone else.
“Abraham is the biggest guy in the group. Negan taking him out sends a huge message to Rick and everyone else.”
What are your thoughts on the latest Walking Dead rumors and spoilers? Do you think Glenn will die in Season 7?
